Christmas this year means everything. I am having my first grandchild today, and my husband found out Friday that after a long battle he is cancer free! So much to celebrate. I finally finished a Christmas quilt that I started in 1995, and look forward to getting my tree up.

We do not put up our Christmas decorations until after Thanksgiving. When our girls were growing up, we didn’t start celebrating Christmas until after our daughter’s birthday on December 7. Old habits are hard to break. She is now married and has her own children now, but we still wait until after Thanksgiving. Thanks Shannon for such generosity. I love the two quilt blocks that you have made. They look like fun to make!

I have white ceramic Christmas tree that I am enjoying already this year…even though I have collected many treasured ornaments I will skip putting up my big tree. With a rambunctious golden retriever I would rather be quilting..I’m going to start a miss Rosie House pattern with Christmas charm packs.

My childhood Christmas favorite time was watching my Mom And Dad put up the tree. I love Christmas Trees. Scents and beautiful Lights. All the pretty colorful decorations shimmering brightly were such fun to see. Now, we are lucky yo be able to sew pretty Christmas trees with fabrics of our choice to give as gifts and to keep for ourselves. Pillows, placemats, runners, quilts for beds, laps etc. and many more ideas for their use. Utubers like you show us how to make these beautiful items inviting more people to learn and try this craft. I've started to check off quilts for each family member finished 6 of 9 for the grandchildren's Christmas gift, and I have material for 4 out of eight of our adult children, let the fun begin thank you for showing us these wonderful products. I usually put up my tree by now. I used to have my house on Christmas tour and I would do more than one tree. I put so much work into the decorating that I have left my tree up as long as two years. This Christmas will be very unique because we are moving the week of Thanksgiving so I'm going to be scrambling to get up a tree and quilting is on pause until after the move. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly.
