Hey neighbor. Great content. You’re right. It’s getting hot in Texas. 200 onion starts will surely keep a lot of pest out of your garden. Thanks for sharing. 👍🏾♥️

We are supposed to have good weather this weekend. Which will be good so i can start planting these potatoes. We go thru a lot of onions and garlic, so I hope this will last us at least a year. *crossing fingers* thanks for stopping by

Chickens love collard greens!! We use the rake also. We see you got more blueberry plants. Love the square row tool🔥. Nice variety of onions. You guys definitely have a year's worth of onions. We enjoyed your video. Thanks for sharing

Had to grab two more blueberry plants. I'm looking for a good blackberry plant as well. Man, that was great info on those onions, Chris. Those onions are looking great now. I have to get ready for these potatoes beds now.

HI neighbor, just found y'all :) I have raised beds because we have a small yard. Tomatoes, peppers, onions, cucumbers and squash. I've been growing for about 5 years.

Hey neighbor. We started off growing in a container garden then moved to raised beds. We had a small urban backyard garden in the Dallas area prior to moving here. What all are you growing now? How many beds do you have and their lengths?

Soooo much more here than just onions! All has started well this spring for you there in Texas. You work hard at getting your layout just perfect. I am really weird about so many things, but you definitely plant your onions with much more OCD than my let it grow approach. Yours will be so much more beautiful than mine.

Well I pray we both have a bountiful harvest. How do you plant your onions?
@dwighthires31638 ай бұрын
@@TheNakidGardeners I just put them in short rows across my beds to form a bit of a grid but it is rather loosie goosy. I call it patch planting, We plant a local variety of sweet onions.

I'm excited to grow melons. I'm a small space gardener so it's a challenge but I'm here for it.

Hey, kinfolk. What variety of watermelon are you growing? Since having a small space, are you growing in containers?

@@TheNakidGardeners A mini shovel. Helps me when I’m turning soil in my raised beds

Brother, I'm just like you! I love me a good garden rake! I use the scuffle hoe often as well, but if I could only choose one tool it would be a good ole garden rake!
@TheNakidGardeners3 ай бұрын
@saltydawghomestead i think i might bite the bullet and get me one of those scuffle hoe the way our garden got loose from us this year.

Shovel and rake Sidney😊 Like your bunching onions😊 I try to grow lots of onions hopefully to last a year but I eat many of onions and garlic 😊 I think you could fit more onions in those rows, the 3 in a row is okay, but I think you could put more rows in middle of the rows making another 3 onion starts per row.
@TheNakidGardeners8 ай бұрын
Thanks Rick. Im think i might split those walking onions up and put some in s9me containers or give some away to the neighbors. I plan on putting the irrigation line thru the center that is why i didn't put any there. Good eye. What's your favorite tool to use in the garden and why?
@rickthelian22158 ай бұрын
@@TheNakidGardeners I’m favourite tool is both the shovel because I use it for shovelling compost for the garden beds, but the rake is a handy tool too to spread t compost and the soil flat or for hilling the bed sides.

I tried onions like that, and they didn't do too well for me because a lot of them were very tiny and then I got the onion bulbs without the green top and I liked them better, and they were all a good size at planting.
@TheNakidGardeners8 ай бұрын
Sorry to hear that. We had great success with these types of onions not large bulbs but we do not over fertilize either.

Any tips to growing chamomile and keeping it alive? I have tried from seed and they die off after 2 inches. I have tried from transplant and they grow then die. 😔 I've tried it in different spots to see if it was the soil and/or sun.
@TheNakidGardeners8 ай бұрын
Oh wow, we never had issues with chamomile. Once it is planted and went to flower, we noticed volunteers like we just had this season and didn't even plant it. When are you transplanting it? Do you keep it in containers? What are the weather conditions when you are transplanting it?
@alwaysmelissa77758 ай бұрын
@TheNakidGardeners I tried early spring and fall when the weather breaks- I'm over in Aubrey, TX so as soon as we get between 40-84 degrees I transplant them. I have tried in ground, in my raised beds, in pots, and under shade.
