Farewell Narrowboat Experience (from Kath and Annamarie)

This one will just get lost in the noise but I wanted to say I spent the very long lockdowns alone. I had an entire year when my particular circumstances made it illegal or medically inadvisable to visit friends and family. Although they wouldn't know me from Adam, a small number of KZbinrs and podcasters helped me through that period. You two were among their number. Thanks for all the videos and all the best for your future plans.

That was very nicely said. It did not get lost in the noise at all. :) I began narrowboat videos in autumn of 2020 because I saw Zomboat! (lol), and desperately looked it up to see wtf that boat was. And got hooked on the genre. This channel was on the short list of religious lockdown watching. Sadly when they abruptly stopped and I began grieving for someone that winter, I abruptly stopped watching the genre too. Glad for the closure. NBE is permanently part of mine, yours, and so many people's lockdown memories. Forever grateful. ❤

Oh yes, so much this! ^^^^ I stumbled across this genre of videos almost at the beginning of the Pandemic WTF Times, and one led to another which led to another yet. Even from off in the wilds of the western colonies, I took great comfort in the peaceful, friendly, occasionally confused, but always intrepid antics & adventures of The Ladies and their fellow adventurers. I hope they reap the peace and comfort they have so generously sown.

As I sit here having just watched you "hoofin it" to the next lock while Kath is driving the boat I think to myself while crying like a small child how many times have I watched this same scenario with you guys and how much will I miss this same scene? It's astonishing to me how much you guys have impacted me. I have had such huge health problems in the last 10 years and because of these issues I have not been able to do anything except sit in my basement and try to find new things to watch to keep myself occupied. As I have looked through KZbin I ran into this thing called The Narrowboat Experience. I watched these two amazing women and their cats take on the world of Narrowboating and I was fascinated as I watched poor Kath dig out the stuff wrapped around a prop and you drying off a cat that had taken a spill into the drink one night and all the other adventures you found yourselves experiencing and you took us all along for the ride. Thank you for taking a guy from Utah USA to places I will never be able to travel to and making it so interesting. You are such amazing people and it has been a pleasure and an honor to be able to share your lives with you. I love you both to bits and I want you to know how much it has meant to me to be able to know you and your cats just a little. It has been such a fun journey and I appreciate you both more than I will ever to be able to say. Thank you both so much and I hope you both continue to enjoy your lives you have been incredible. Kath and Annamarie. Since I didnt find your blog until February of this year This was my first notification ever on youtube. Unfortunately it is your last. Thank you for the many vlogs you made. I started watching them backwards and was blown away on the content,scenery , music and info you showed. Being a conservative male from the midwest of the US the thing that stood out the most was your loving and caring hearts. Not only for each other but to almost every stranger you came upon (fishermen excluded lol) After seeing the bond between you two it has made me rethink the way I view non traditional marriage. I'm subscribed to Adventure Motorcycling channels as well as Yachting channels, Self Help, DIY and Makers channels, as well as numerous Historical (niche interests) and Scientific channels, along with literally MILLIONS of other viewers, and see no sudden stop to such activity.

It’s hard but also very fulfilling to make and experience new beginnings. Life is short especially for us 60 year olds.
