We are in Ubud, Bali right now and we each rented an Nmax 155. They took a little getting used to because the front end is a little larger/heavier than a 110 or 125....but after a couple of days...wow they are awesome. Up the mountains, super breaks down. A solid choice!!!

I have a Yamaha N Max 155cc and a Honda ADV160cc for my two sons! Both have respectable power, comfort and reliability! Just my 2 cents, which makes sense I hope? Enjoy!

One word of warning for folks who get the "twist and go" scooters. Without gears going downhill you have no engine braking so you will be on the brakes more in the mountains. I've been riding all my life, and for a small bike I'm looking at the Yamaha Exciter, which is a 160 with a 6 speed. Better for mountain riding for sure.

This is good advice. What automatic bike would you recommend for two average size Americans with no bike experience just wanting to ride in the city?

I have the older model Forza like the first one you showed, it eats up highway and is the one to buy if you're going touring, but I would upgrade the suspension to the YSS shocks. I also have an NMAX and I have done long distance road trips with it, but the Forza is superior. 100% get whatever you buy checked out as they polish up well at the market but might be worn out. The NMAX is a great deal over similar aged PCC as it has front and rear disc brakes on all models Some PCC have rear drum brakes. So if you're gonna do some road trips, spend the extra on a Forza or XMAX, and remember to haggle a better deal than the sticker prices at the markets or look at places like Facebook marketplace for the cheapest deal. Just make sure you check the condition of the bike.

The catch is they all probably have some issues. That has been our experience buying vehicles on Facebook. Now with the recent floods, who knows what you’re getting.

Why make a video with the title motorcycle guide then proceed to show only scooters and barely mention Motorcycles. I get they may be called motorcycles to Thai people but your video is aimed at westerners where a scooter is a scooter and a motorcycle is a motorcycle.

In Thailand, these vehicles (Rods) are referred to as motorcycles (moo-dtee-sai). You may be a westerner and you will think of a crotch rocket, which that style is in Thailand as well, maybe a lower cc than a western bike. If you have trouble understanding it is a different country, culture, and terminologies, stay put.
