I'm sitting in August 2022 beside my mom who I have been caring for bedridden and all that for 4 years. She's in her final stages, wanting to talk, but, because of her stroke unable to. As I held and massage her hand this song came forcefully up in to my spirit and ignited me. "To God be the glory great things he hath done". Indeed he must be glorified. I was way down but my soul is stirred and and I'm strengthened to go on. Ppl everywhere let's keep praising him cause he's worthy of all praises. When we praise him, it changes the atmosphere. I'm a true testator. Bless!!

Sue Bailey , Sue, I’m so very sorry you lost your parents at such a young age. I was praying earlier this evening for a young man with CP and immediately the Lord put this song in my heart. I would sing it at my church growing up. I wondered why God would bring this song to mind after praying for a young man with CP? I listened to the words in this hymn and it answered my question. Knowing that Jesus gave His life for us and remembering that He has done great things in our lives even in times of adversity, we can trust Him knowing He will take care of us. So thankful for what Jesus has done for me and I can see that He’s been with you this whole time keeping you to Himself and watching over you. May God continue to pour His love over you until we meet again!l ❤️🙏🏻

We weren't able to have the 50th anniversary graveside memorial on 28th April, but we're looking at doing it on what would have been mum's 91st birthday on 27th August. The words are very rich with God's love for us, no matter what happens to us, we have to keep praising God for our whole lifetime, be it long or short.

One of my favourite hymns. It was in my head this morning when I woke up. I work in a care home in North Tyneside and I sung this hymn this morning (13/08/2022) on my shift and couple of residents sang along, one of them said, "it's in me head now!" 😂😂😂 Which is good because this resident is not saved and it shows that the Spirit of God is bearing witness with her heart.

Reminds me of the little Baptist church we went to in the 60's when I was a little kid. An elderly lady used to pound out this song on the piano, very similar to this version. I loved those old songs they sang back then. I was saved and baptized at this church, and have been following the Lord ever since! We have trials and tribulations in this life, but He will never leave us or forsake us! God is so wonderful!

This is a song I remember singing when I was about 6 years old. My parents would often play it to us and we would sing it at church. Listening to it now reminds me how much Jesus Christ has been with me now for at least these following 24 years and more hopefully.

I love this hymn. Fanny Crosby had an amazing ability to put so much of the gospel into her hymns. Even if a person didn't open the Bible, they could hear the plan of salvation by listening to her hymns. That's why it's so important to preserve these songs (as well as enjoy the new ones, many of which also proclaim the gospel).
