I was given a pup in a cup from a parent at school and didn’t get around to planting it for a few weeks. It has gone crazy and now has 3 pups of its own!! The parent who gave it to me said it was from her grandma’s aloe and has been around for generations!! I love this and and am so excited to pass on a few of my pups! Your advice is awesome and I appreciate the tips for healthy aloe growing :)

I fell off my motorcycle has road rash on my forearm. My mother had an aloe vera plant in our house. I cut off a piece and used it for about 2 weeks to heal my arm. Not only did it heal my arm faster but you can barely see the scar to this day. I am one person who literally will swear by this plan it truly does heal you.

I purchased a six in pot with one plant in it about 15 years ago when I moved from Texas to Arizona. I got it at a truck stop depot on the side of the highway. It sat on my front porch and was neglected for the next 12 years. It looked pathetic. I transplanted it into my front yard about three years ago and put a couple sick pups into another pot. I now have a beautiful forest of green, gorgeous aloe plants that I harvest everyday one leaf. The ones I transplanted into a pot, I put in my back yard and it is also an awesome, bright green, beautiful display that needs to be transplanted somewhere else on my property. This plant is a gift from God. It is so healing and has so many benefits and thrives in desert or warm, dry climates. It pretty much takes care of itself, but if you give it just a little love, it will thrive and give you a 100 to 1 return on your (love) investment. Thanks for the video and info. God Bless

We found it some shade and it survived. It has now had so many babies, pups, its pot is overflowing. It's a big plant with about 12 large pups. I just took about 6 out a few days ago, and am trying to figure out how to send them in the mail to my family members:)

Hi there I learned some from your aloe Channel, I am from Hokkaido Japan and have a precious aloe. This is the first time I have ever taken gardening seriously. When I bought my aloe it was small and I transplanted it into a bigger pot. After some months of learning on aloes, I realized that I had not one but two aloes of the same size. I was very surprised!! I want them to have their own space so they can grow bigger and healthier. Now, these 2 separate aloes have tiny little pups growing from each of them. After watching your show, I am now going to separate my aloes before winter. I worry if fall is the right time to separate them? Will their root system be able to take the separation? .

Mr. Chiweeni I disagree if you use any compost mix and it’s not in a drainable pot the soil can retain a lot of moisture and mould instead of drying completely causing the aloe roots to rot I would say if you use any compost mix to add plenty of stones like you get in cactus mix and definitely make sure the pots drain able so soil can completely drain and dry out till next water my aloe plants live inside and as I live in uk our weather is not suitable to keep them outdoors just my experience with soil.

Thanks for the tip ( pertaining to the pups ) I bought a sad little aloe vera plant in a 3 inch pot from CVS that was in a box with about 4 others , the pot was COMPLETELY DRY I wasn't sure it would survive some maybe 4 or 5 years ago NOW I've got 2 MATURE ADULT PLANTS in a ceramic pot ( that I should not have put it in ) the original one has grown to were its on its side leaning out of the pot ( may have to break the pot ) to repot both plus 2 pups but the 2nd adult I noticed today has a bud GROWING wow I didn't even know they flowered , of course I had to look it up on line to see what it will look like when it BLOOMS . Mine are in my front picture window facing east looking VERY HEALTHY ! I noticed your plants have spots on the leaves mine are one solid color green , to bad I can send a picture in this form

What kind of soil do you typically use when you’re transferring your pups? I’ve seen a ton of different answers but yours are beautiful.

I was given a 12" aloe that had been removed from its soil and roots cut. ( to use on my sun burn) after sitting on my counter for 3 months I decided to plant it and see what happens. a year later it's thriving and has had multiple pups. What a resilient plant

I just bought a new Aloe.plant around 8 -10 inches tall from home Depot. I bought the soil made for cacti and succulents as well as did my best to repot it into a bigger clay pot ( found the directions for this by following your videos as well as some forums online) and now I am searching for an indoor growing light bulb since I live in a place that gets quite cold at night and also my windows don't get very much sun at all. Do you have any lighting and growing advice for my new Aloe baby? :) thanks

I have learnt a lot by living in various countries of cold weather, now the tropics, Aloe Vera by itself is a natural hormonal rooting substance, also similar to cactus. I T grows, i remember in a cold country I grew gardenias, never knew they would have survived and grow in abandon. Now my aloes is growing under my mango tree, my Jasmine sent me all night, leant how to propagate with aloe Vera leaves, using the slow Vera to mist my Dens orchid seedlings, I guess I am in the right temperate island, would love to teach my grandchildren how to raise long stem roses, orchids, gardenias and aloe Vera, just blend a piece of the aloe, not the skin! water your other plants or spritz once weekly lightly. Good luck, will let you all know their outcome soon. Bless up.

They like to be in a small crowded pot to make pups. if it’s in a massive pot with loads of room it’s less likely.

@@dwayneoxford9719 There would need to be at least enough room for the pup.. I have mine in a medium/small pot with 2 pups and just a little more room in the pot ..Whats funny is I had no idea how to take care of an aloe vera plant and actually did it a favor all those times I forgot to water it...lol

i was gonna say, you can just pluck them at the lowest point just under the soil level that ur fingers can grab, dig in and pluck them. new roots i would say is actually good for them to grow too, gives them a chance to spread out how it likes and i feel its like an advanced hybriding technique.

She says in the video why. She already gets/has so many, that it's not even worth the extra time, effort, water, etc into a pup that doesnt have a high chance of growing. I understand where you are coming from completely. In my case, and many others who are home growers would save the pup just in case. But when you're a full blown nursery. Its not always the most effective way of doing things. Maybe she could have a "give away"section or even discount for these types of plants where they are cuttings or pups from plants without roots, or little root growth for anyone willing to take the chance and time to hopefully get it growing.? That way, she wouldn't have to waste her time, soil, etc, while not wasting the plant.

My father died in 1990. My co-workers knew I didn't approve of cut flowers so they gave me a pot with 3-4 succulents planted in it. The aloe vera, or its descendants, are still alive today, 28-years later.
