This is the story of how three young boys started this band, the extreme challenges they faced, and how they overcame all to arrive at success. This is the story of Nepathya, but this is also the story of Amrit Gurung who is the only member of the band that has remained constant in Nepathya.

Some back story about the series on Nepathya. 4 years ago, I was researching about Nepathya to make an autobiographical movie when I was active in filmmaking. But I could not complete it. Who knew, I would start a youtube channel and tell that story here. But this should get made into a movie. There are so many fascinating story left to be uncovered about Nepathya. Did you enjoy it? Some Clarification about 0:40 Amrit Gurung's friends did not pay a penny to the organizers to go to Japan, but there were other people from Organizer's side who paid the money. Hope that makes it more clear. Thanks.

Part1 & 2 best. Made me happy and sad at the same time as I've also lived pre, during and pro civil war period and I've experienced the struggles during our schooling years and as a common citizens. Nearly got shot at point blank and that changed me for the whole life. Not a great fan of band Nepathya but I've also seen Nepathya white bus for peace firsthand and attended their concerts during several occasions.

I was eagerly waiting for this part to come out. I had the rarest opportunity to share the trek to Upper Mustang(when the roads were still not there) back in mid 2010s with this amazing personality Amrit Dai. My words cannot describe how humble and modest of person he is. He helped me shape up my thoughts and perspective towards people and our community. I watched Sundar Shanta Nepal Concert in Dharan. The last song was Resham and I still remember the entire 25000 audience jamming to the song. Nepathya indeed acted as a soothing balm on the pain of the Civil War.

Even though I am writing this comment in English but I just wanna request you something🥰 Please don't mix Hindi words in your videos It just sounds so weird. I don't know I might be wrong but I heard some words which are not Nepali I guess . And you might know that Nowdays some children are using some Hindi words instead of Nepali in their daily life because of the effect of cartoons and movies which is bad. And I think if its continious to happen then our language will be totally mixed with Hindi in future.... Sundar Shanta nepal was a game changer… I still remember the concerts and the hype of it… one of the most influential bands and human beings from Nepal ❤️ !! Sankat kaal ( state of emergency) was a real deal back then I still remember my grandfather,father and tol ko uncles haru would gather in mornings just to check out the damages done by both sides, maoist and army… we used to pee in the bucket at nights inside our home just to avoid the fire fight and the dangers of it…. I know many people whose parents relatives were taken by Maoist and armies and are still missing.. rati maobadi aayera brochures pamphlets haru fyalthyo ghar ko compound ma ani bihana chai armies haru aayera detain garthyo jos jos ko ghar ma brochure bhetinthyo!! And we used to search for bullet shells just to make locket out of them and believe me that was the most coolest thing you could wear at that time !!
