One of my favorite most underrated movies of all time I'm not saying that it would of broke records but if you release that during Halloween it easily does double if not tripple what it did in the box office

Jeffrey Combs is one of the all-time greats alongside Michael Biehn and Bruce Campbell. 5:05 Likely an homage to "The Phantom Jogger" from Ghostbusters 2. 11:58 Unfold that stock, rookie! 12:49 That sort of thing happens a lot in movies and it's never depicted accurately. IRL, when a person comes back from that, they're damn near physically destroyed and it takes a long time to recover.

In attempt to explain the ghost guns. In the Dresden Files book series by Jim Butcher ghosts can will object into existence. They have mass thanks to ectoplasm and the weapon act based on memory.
@gergero74275 жыл бұрын
The stronger the memory the more effective the weapon; hence why a ghost often carries weapons consistent with its time period and life experiences. These weapons can also be handed over to other spirits. I f the spirit dies its conjurings end. Unlees handed off
@theNewBee5 жыл бұрын
That makes a lot of sense, and fits in this movie's world. It also explains why ghosts aren't usually naked.

I went and saw this which was marketed as a comedy but as it went on getting darker and more full on I just liked it more and more. To try and answer your about ghost guns (pack your bags for some metaphysical techno babble) a ghost is the psychic after image of a person given form by their belief or mental image and they can manipulate image to create items, in this case guns. Since they believe that the guns work they do. It is shown in movie that these constructs can survive for a time after the destruction of the motivating belief for example the dead ghost body landing on the hood. So there is no reason why our hero couldn't grab the Sarge's machine guns his own belief in them making them function. That's good psuedo science if I do say so myself.

Maybe the ghosts can manifest objects they were close to in life, things that were like an extension of their own bodies.
@theNewBee8 жыл бұрын
That makes sense. Maybe the objects behave the way the spirit how the spirit believes they should... I want to die with a lightsaber in my hand!

Sorry about your dad. 😔 Odd Thomas is a great book series. Did you see the movie? I thought it was pretty faithful to the first book. Some of the scenes were exactly as I pictured them when I read it. Really enjoyed it!

This movie actually lowkey looks really good.

I can only guess that the guns/bullets are tied to the ghosts will being exercised, and maybe the sarge only knew he could scare folks while MJF wanted to cause real harm to the entity. Just a guess tho it really didn't make any sense. This movie actually scared me I saw it as a young teen at a sleepover but you're right it really hasn't aged well especially the effects

The script has flaws like what are the rules for the ghosts because the killer has a magic reaper weapon that can kill other ghosts that are never explained. However, the movie is a fun Horror comedy that is fun as heck like a Tim Burton Horror Comedy. Shame Jackson doesn't do these movies anymore.
