Honestly, it seems petty to go though all of this with a private investigator based on what they already knew. I think everyone that has taken gen. ed courses at a college knows that there are easy classes where you pretty much write 2-3 papers for the majority of your grade with little required interaction. I took a snowboarding class in college that you basically only had to show up for to receive credit (not at UNC btw) The reason why this has become a big story, is because the media is hoping the public will link the football drama with the paper scandal, and that ppl will assume that the basketball team was doing something OTHER THAN taking some easy classes (again, the $$$ and agents were found to be isolated to the football team (Austin, etc. in the Butch years). Other non-football athletes simply turned some bad papers in, but they weren't bribed with $$$ and Trans-Ams (SMU), they didn't point-shave (BC), rape anyone (Duke), or anything else that Miami, SMU, or FSU has been accused of in the past and continues to be caught doing. UNC has payed the penalty for what went on with the football program, don't understand why this paper class thing is worthy of serious consequences when the concept of easy gen-ed classes is sooo prolific everywhere. NOW LEAVE UNC ALONE WRAL, N&O, and the NCAA!!!!
