Shogun Finale: The True Meaning of THAT Boat Scene!

The FINAL Episode of Shogun was a TOTAL SHAM and VERY POORLY Done, total Let Down! The Opening Scene shows Blackthorne back in England dying, BULLSHIT! The REAL "Blackthorne", WILLIAM ADAMS NEVER WENT BACK TO ENGLAND, and he Married into a Japanese "Regal" Family, likely the character Fuji!! Williams became a "Lord ", had at least two mixed children with his Japanese Wife and as I said, the HISTORY shows he NEVER Returned to England to his original Family! However, via the Dutch East Indies Company, he did send money regularly to his estranged English wife and Children for their support until Adams died in his late 40's. WATCH the the Truth! I have mentioned this on other channels but for me the best scene in the whole show was this scene of scattering the ashes and the cross. It brought back the memory of scattering my father's ashes on the waters where he had done a lot of sailing. I was nearly in tears then and again when watching that scene. As an aside, I found Fuji-sama the most interesting character.

Hi, the opening scene was a dream sequence not what actually happened, as you could see Mariko's cross in his hands, but we later saw him drop it in the ocean. The scene signified what Blackthorne wanted his future to look like but he remained in Japan as the real William Adams

You clearly seem to have some anger issues to work through. This series is based on the book which in turn is loosely based on real people and historical events. That's why the characters have different names and events don't follow historically. It's entertainment. You're not supposed to get angry over it. Chill out.
