My hair is 4a-4c and I added mouse because I didn’t have any more smoothie custard. It still didn’t slick so on top of that I added got2b gel. And then brushed and went to sleep with my durag on and it slicked. It’s def a once in awhile type of style because it requires so much product

Nice video and your hair came out beautiful! Camille Rose curl maker works great to lay down without using any extra products or gel...just apply similar to a relaxer. I didn’t like it much as a wash and go, but for slick down it works wonders. Great hold and shine. I have low porosity type 4a/b. For wash and go, my faves are KeraCare Defining Custard, Kinky Curly Custard, Curls Blueberry Bliss Control Jelly and Design Essentials Honey Custard. I'm like... 3 whole years late to this comment, but... Here it goes! 1. For me, it lasts about a week with maintenance. I wash my hair on Friday night, deep condition Saturday, and redo the hairstyle on Sunday night, so it's ready for Monday again. The maintenance is SO LITTLE, that's why it's my style of choice. 2. The night routine I do for this style is I always make sure to wet the hair a little and go back with my brush IF I have any curls that stuck out throughout the day or a little frizz, other wise, I put a drop of oil (just a drop, literally) and smooth it between my palms, and smooth it on the surface, making sure not to disrupt the curls, then I put my silk scarf on, then a loose satin bonnet I have, and go to sleep. 3. When I wake up in the morning, I untie my scarf and that's it. My hair is done in the 5 seconds it takes me to untie it, haha. If you want to redo a Lil of your edges, you can but I'd recommend to do it the night before so it has time to be set under the scarf. Also, since I only do my hair once a week, my hair products last way longer, and I feel like it has also helped my hair to grow a lot, because I'm not manipulating it as much. Hope this helped!

Janine Foster I got 4z & it slicks. Your hair not bad just DRY. Moisture is key. Cowash with the as i am brand. WHILE WET use some jbco I like the Argan oil one then some gel I use the Argan oil eco styler next I use a white Girl brush to get it in the form, then a hard brush then a small tooth comb. Once it looks like I need I “freeze” it with the ebins edge control & some tresseme (sp) holding spray (I get it from dollar tree) then I use a durag one top of the durag a silk scarf (just because my hair is wet & I don’t want to mess up my pillows) when I wake it it’s relaxer straight. I refresh my baby hairs because Alyssa don’t own us 😂 then boom Issa do. It stays for as long as I take care of it usually 3 days (once I workout or if it rains I’m cancelled)

why are you all going through all this? All you have to do to any hair type is gel your entire hair,brush it down , ends wrap. Get under the dryer until dry. It works!!

For low porosity try SheaMoistue Baobab & Tea Tree Oils hair collection . Use lighter or liquid based products to avoid product build up. Use moisture rich products with jojoba, avocado,shea butter, coconut oil to penetrate hair (moisturize) but less concentrated to avoid product build up. Use protein-free daily conditoners with humectants (products that attract moisture) like honey or glycerin. Try also Hawaiian Silky Miracle Worker 14-in-1 for the spots or Jamaican Black Castor Oil.
