Andrew Huberman is a pseudoscience grifter who gives faulty medical information to the masses while also maintaining close ties to alt-right fascists and Qanon/MAGA types like little man Jocko, Rogan, and J. Peterson, etc. Real medical professionals see Hubermans grift from a mile away. Disgraceful.

The stories of him getting hyped for others, regardless of ability, are absolutely true. I remember being 12 years old at Pier 7 and doing a very “little kid” manual trick. Karl yelled out and clapped when I landed it. It made me so hyped. It’s a little gesture, but has a huge impact on others, especially when we’re young. His skating, style, and attitude are what make him a legend.

Karl is so down to earth and one of the nicest dudes out there. I remember back in 98 ,Alex Klein introduced me to Karl and he was working at a pizza joint. Karl hooked us up with pizza and just seeing him in person you can tell his energy is so pure. His skateboarding speaks for itself. Such a great dude!!

Seems countless people have had the same sort of interaction with Karl - running into him at Pier 7 or 3rd & Army, and he makes a point of saying what's up, or giving props if he sees you land something you had been working on. I personally experienced that on 2 different trips to SF, and Mike York had the same sort of vibe - says hi to everyone at the spot and is just generally friendly. I remember Karl had his son with him skating an OG Tony Hawk Powell board with the crazy Lamar snowboard style nose one time at 3rd & Army, and he recognized my friend's brand on the tee I was wearing, was super hyped and told me to say hi for him. Best dude.

Karl Watson is a real one. He stays true to his vision and maintaining an ethos of respect and camaraderie with skaters whom he receives inspiration from (and, in turn, he is held in the highest regard by all whom he inspires and has inspired over the decades which have paved the path to his eternal legacy). He will always be one of my favourite skaters of all time!

Pier 7 was kind of an intimidating place and the 90's was the era where skaters kept to themselves. I showed up by myself and see Karl sitting down on his skateboard amongst friends. We don't know each other all, but first thing he does is give a big smile and a hello. Legend and a great heart.

My homie and I used to skate at Third and Army regularly, we would see Karl there a lot. One day for no reason he calls us over to his Audi TT and gives us each a new set of wheels with the most gracious face, and asks for nothing in return. One of the most humble and nicest dude in skateboarding, a small moment that I still think about over 10 years later.

Me and a homie drove from Oregon to SF when we were 16 to skate EMB in 96. Slept in the car in the park at the south end of the Golden Gate Bridge. Went to Pier 7 and Karl was the first pro we met and we were so starstruck and he was so fuckin cool to us. Seeing that place and those dudes skating in real life was so unreal. One of my fondest memories as a teenage dirtbag in the 90’s.

EMB always sounds so intimidating! Growing up skating Copley Square and Back Bay in Boston, it was occasionally competitive but not like it was in SF from Karl Watson and the others from that era who have been on the show. I'm not sure I would've even tried to go there if I knew that back then. Plus, rough bricks sounds not so fun, Copley had pretty smooth bricks.

The World Industries video that Karl was left out of was "New World Order" (1993), not "Love Child" (1992). The 3 tricks he mentioned are all on the 1993 transfer tapes, not the 1992 transfer tapes. Therefore they could not have been in Love Child since they had not been done yet.
