I was in LA for a work trip and decided to head down to Venice skatepark to relive my youth. I ended seeing Andy there and said hi/introduced myself. And told him that I love his deck for cruising and motivating me to getting back on the board. From his initial reaction, I don't think he expected to be approached and praised by someone from the corporate world in slacks/white button down and a vest praising his video content and signature board. lol.

Older skaters love Andy's board because it's more like the big old boards from the pre-popsicle days. I've got a 8.5 popsicle board, and it still feels too small - too short wheelbase particularly. Plus the shape is just cool. Everything else looks the same these days. Even his graphics are a nod to old school Powell designs.

I'm a 90s kid and I would love to try andys board. His designs and his engineering are on point. Him and Christopher hiett make me want to try old school boards and I've always sworn by the traditional popsicle shape with mid or higher concave. Dgk is my common go to.
