The fact that mark went to go find him because he could do a 360 flip is so rad! He didn't even know he's was a God in j Lee's eyes. Dude that story is the most amazing story ever. Even though he thought he was doing back side 360 flips 😆

Since these Jason Lee highlights have been dropping, I’ve had a couple uploads get recommended to me. These uploads being old footage of his from way back in the day. Ngl, it’s pretty damn satisfying. 🤣💯

it's so funny to start a "the first time i skated with marc gonzales in the early days" story and then be like "oh...sorry...i don't want to bore you..."

Great story. Kinda sounds like all our childhoods in the 80s and 90s, when things were of a smaller scale in general. There’s the one big kid in the town who did this trick or that trick, and is a legend. And sometimes some kid heard you had a rail or a ramp, so random skater kid, who maybe you’ve seen around, knocks on your door to see if you’re home to, “play”. Then there were the pros and ams who skated your local park occasionally and every kid knew who they were. Those were special days at the park. It felt like a miracle had arrived just for you. I remember meeting the Gonz right after Phil Shao died. He was at my home park in Petaluma, and he gave me a tshirt. Phil was there just prior to that, like a week before he died, and he also gave me a tshirt. Actually he remembered me as a 12 year old kid from a few years earlier when he sat with me at the Santa Rosa skatepark after he saw me hit my head, falling, coming out of the small bowl. He gave me gummy worms and sat with me until he knew I was okay. Told me stories about his little brothers. Stories like these you sorta never forget cause life at those stages seems so much larger.

man, I really needed to hear these stories from Jason Lee. My friends and I worshipped him & his friends back in SOcal skating days, but Jason's hollywood career had taken off at that point, so we just continued to skate, and also went to see all his movies in theaters.

In the thumbnail… I used to sk8 there with Gonz and Natas. I was a grom… didn’t know who there were! 🤦🏾♂️ That bank to bowl was in Oceanside around the corner from Gemco bowl… another drain ditch up on the hill!
@mattnuevo6334 Жыл бұрын
That boneless was Gemco bank.. the “Gemco bowl” you mentioned was called Exploited bowl. I grew up in Oceanside, and in later years, we had THE BEST square pool ever right up the hill from there.. found by Blockhead Ron Cameron.

0 to the zeroth power is indeterminate so technically that means there isn't a determinate no. And any number to the zeroth power is 1
