Doc Harris was the one who passed away. He was the narrator for Ocean dub (the first 53 episodes before Funimation took it over) of DBZ. Doc Morgan is the current narrator and the one used since DBZ Kai. The same name is probably causing the mix-up, although Dragon Ball's narration as a franchise can be kind of confusing overall.

Remember. Daima takes place right after the Buu arc. Like a few months after so the time chamber is still broken. This takes place years before Super before they repaired it.

Suraj - this is actually Alexis Tipton as Trunks. Laura Bailey retired from the role after dubbing the Boo arc of Kai. Alexis has played him since Super started.

The fight wasn't filler. This retelling of the Buu arc in the first episode is literally showcasing Toriyama's manga canon work. This wasn't the narrator that died. DBZ has had several narrators. The Room of Spirit and Time wasn't upgraded at this point yet. So Vegeta was already at his 2 day limit for example. Nowhere in these episode was it stated that Gomah is Dabura's brother. Suraj just assumes that randomly and rolls with it lmao.

I would actually love it of they just did a new anime of original Dragonball with this updated animation. Just same story and everything (possibly leaving out a little filler). Also, a lot of people think Krillin is just bald, but he comes from monks, so he shaves his head. He let it grow back when he stopped fighting, then shaved it again for the Tournament of Power.

GT isn't canon. It was made by Toei to keep the franchise going because it makes a lot of money. Toriyama merely provided some designs for some characters. He didn't write the story, nor did he give story ideas. It has been stated by Toei executives, Toriyama's editor and Toriyama himself that Daima has been the most he's worked on a DB related project since the manga ended. He was involved with Yo Son Goku and Friends, Battle of Gods, Resurrection of F, Super, Broly and Superhero, but this was the most he's been involved. Toei already started working on Daima, but Toriyama came in and added his own thing to it.

GT is not canon. Toriyama had no part in it, some people *like* GT and GT characters are sometimes included in DB games and spinoff stuff like Heroes. But it is not canon to DBZ or DB Super. Nor is it canon to Daima. Daima is the last Akira Toriyama project and is a direct follow-up to the Buu arc. You could argue Daima is the last true DBZ arc. Super takes place after this and is canon but was written by Toriyama's successor.
