I like the fact that during the namek saga gohan had a chichi like hairstyle (without the bangs) since chichi cut his hair and during the cell saga he had a hairstyle like goku (with the spikes) since goku is the one who cut his hair. I thought that was a nice touch by the writers of DBZ

Cool little fact, the strategy of almost dying and healing yourself is what happened in the Super manga. Goku Black and Zamasu utilized that by having Black fight and almost die, then using Zamasu's ability to heal as a Kai and the fact that Black, as a Saiyan came back stronger each time, basically making them unbeatable.

Guys we all love your personalities. None of us want you to have a silent reaction, we love when you comment on jokes and reference. But theres a difference between making a comment on a joke and starting a running conversation, completely ignoring the fact that the characters on the screen are making jokes and you're missing it. We're watching you react to tfs because we know the content and we're excited to hear you react to certain jokes and moments, so its such a let-down. Why not just pause the vid or save your longer comments for after? You actually apologized for talking over the last line in ep 25, but in this episode you do it again with Frieza's last line and you dont even notice. @@bensenzo I guess their schedule takes a toll. They binge 20 or more shows a month and then totally forget about them when they binge them again a month later. They are also so much ahead on Patreon. They never are relevant with their remarks. In the last Better Call Saul reaction they said they are excited to see El Camino while they uploaded El Camino a month ago lol. This channel makes no sense. Thats also why I thought they recorded this before Bardock. Because they've dropped the movies at illogical points like one movie had Nail already inhabiting Piccolo's mind while he hadn't even merged with him yet in their DBZA uploads.

@@2amCryptid But isn't that their own fault though for having such a terrible schedule? The way they plan their reactions is pretty bad. They come together ONCE a month for certain shows and then BINGE them. So of course they become all mashed up together in their heads and that leads to them forgetting important little details the average viewer caught in an instant. While channels like Blindwave just watching 1 ep of a show a week and remember most of it the next week while also taking notes. Even when they watch AoS they skip the ''previously on'' part, which could've helped them remember stuff. A lot of their approach is bad.

12:39 they explained that on DBS. A Saiyan's Zenkai boots has a limit. After a while you stop getting stronger after recovering from mortal wounds.

I think they explained that Goku Vegeta and Gohan has gotten so strong that theres no point in doing the zenkai boost because what you gain from it is so minimal at this point. A zenkai boost is not a multiplier, just a boost so if your power level is 1,000 a zenkai boost can get you to lets say 10,000 but if your power level is 100,000,000 a zenkai boost gets you to 101,000,000 which is still a boost but not noticeable at all.

It is the fault of the creator being unable to handle them, multipliers (insisted on nice clean numbers that created unnecessarily huge gaps), etc. One such as AT could barely bullshit his way as little as he did with values (much less keep it up). Not a strong suit of his (one issue among many **like celestial bodies being tiny**).

It's true they can still be measured, but ultimately they are useless in terms of the actual show. Simply due to power boosts, strong will, plot armor. It was discovered pretty earlier on in Z that power levels really don't mean as much as you'd think. Especially with the ability to hide your power level. I believe the last time power levels were mentioned was Future Trunks before frieza. The ToP further proves my point by showing how being tactical is better than having the higher power level.

Yeah... Frankly, the only reason that even surfaced was because of Frieza's army and their over-reliance on Scouters since most of them can't sense others' energy. AT can come up with pretty interesting characters, powers and whatnot; he's certainly not a bad writer but he isn't a very graceful one. He's been accused of coming up with quite a few things just on the fly (which he has) and honestly I think power levels are one of them since they pretty much stop being at all relevant during the Frieza fight.

Nera: Yes, unfortunately AT introduced PLs instantly with sizable gaps (Raditz double both opponents) only to increase this (excusing a multiplier like KK **then really going wild with SS down the road though it has no canon notation** while making Oozaru x10 **creating a bizarre retroactive thought of how absurd it is that Roshi was only barely stronger than Goku only for the Oozaru version to not really perform convincingly as far too strong for him **that electric attack must have really been something to manage what little it did**). The guy wasn't super good with strategy stuff. A few tricks (Kamehameha Torpedoes) here and there is about the most you get other than basic martial arts and eventually ki blast spam. Gimmicks are more the territory of villains. Size gaps didn't seem like something he cared much to play with after working it out of his system with Kid Goku (shrinking Piccolo and growing Vegeta with time to normalize their heights as recurring fighters). If you've got neat abilities (Tien), you're a guaranteed jobber. You better drop all that s***, get some basic attacks, get popular, be a normal height and slug it out. More often than not, it is about PL. >handle fights well I've yet to make myself view it, but given the maker is the same as Yu Yu Hakusho, I should think he would continue to manage this much. AT has his appeals, but this is not among them, I'm afraid. Blade: Just so. Choosing the exact moment you introduce the idea to have foes so vastly much stronger than the others may not be new (already happening in past sagas without numbers, really **no amount of skill, technique, etc. was going to save Tien much less Yamcha from King Piccolo**), but it still didn't do it any favors. Things ballooned quickly with each new 'main villain' (perhaps the worst offender being Frieza with the unnecessarily high start at 530K only to reveal the next form at supposedly more than double that and the fourth being over a hundred times stronger while the previous strongest foe was 120K **itself overkill as the next strongest with a canon value among bad guys wouldn't need to be much over Vegeta's 30K at the time to slap him around**). Just way too much, way too quickly. Outis: >still be measured If only they could be bothered to do as much officially (to date, they haven't even tried to bullshit a multiplier for SSG or SSB). >useless Explains just how out of their league they are in direct combat without a transformation, buff, appropriately strong technique (modifiers on those, too), etc. >boosts Just more numbers. >will/plot armor These are the real deal. Vegeta as the main villain (before Frieza was invented to job and perma-die in his place against Goku on Namek) took an incredible trouncing he should not have managed. With Vegeta facing Cui (33% advantage), he struck the guy once in what seemed to just about kill him before popping him like a balloon (no effort). Even less of a gap against Dodoria and blow him away with a single generic blast (minor effort). Goku's KKx4 put him over 77% even before the x2.2* from Kamehameha (a modifier we get from info given in the Raditz fight). It was that far beyond Vegeta, yet he was able to ride it and leap free with no actual damage (merely emotional). Absurd. >hiding PLs That doesn't take away from the value of knowing them. At all. Using them to deceive has value. The real value (when using a power-up, technique, etc.) still exists. Just that it doesn't have to be the case that they are always flaunting it honestly in the open. The PL isn't suddenly invalidated for the ability to mask it. The thing is still very real. Without a transformation to go further, that is 'you'. With one, the new PL is it. To go beyond, you need techniques that amplify (creating yet another PL). While amusing to see people with scouters constantly eating shit, it is a mistake to count out PLs for these shortcoming as a way to gauge two fighters (as PL just tends to be the deciding factor overwhelmingly **rare are there occasions you can say there was something more as with Vegeta playing dirty with Zarbon to weaken him in the rematch**). Make no mistake, PLs not getting values (readings still exist as with 16 measuring the power of fighters all the way up to this death) beyond the time Trunks gave a false reading doesn't work against the value the might two fighters possess (PLs just being a number representation of that to better appreciate it). If you're stronger, there is a significant chance you are going to win (and probably without much effort, sadly) until they are able to do something that makes them stronger. Too rarely do you get something like tricking a person into dropping their guard and putting their lights out (Vegeta on Goku this time). >being tactical is better It really isn't (in this franchise). It would be nice if it were so, but canon doesn't back that. At all. It is almost a rule in DB that such things just fail outside villain antics or origins (like ECW actually working on King Piccolo before the main story, but being total trash beyond that point). Ayalne: >thinking they can If they get a good reading, they're generally right. The meme exists for people hiding their ki, transforming, etc. to make the readings inaccurate. Accurate readings are a pretty good way to know what you're in for. Rare are the cases where you might still have a problem if they're below you. Sensing ki is a vague version of this (still subject to getting played in the same ways). You don't tend to hear people mocking this version of the same thing. No, there are certainly memes in the series (like the belief Goku has a good fighting record **Vegeta is undefeated against him, but people rarely recognize or accept it**, but PLs are not among them (the idea these gaps don't matter is, however, among the worst). That Krillin dies 'all the time' is another (it isn't like his count is amazingly high).

I'm sorry, I tried to follow this because I love seeing people react to my favorite abridged series, but you guys miss SO much of it by holding conversations with each other instead of watching. It's just not fun, it's like you're barely paying attention and you miss all the best parts. That and you keep eating or looking at your phones while recording your show even though you expect people to watch, which just seems odd and unprofessional. I'm tapping out. About the transforming reason...sigh. Piccolo was cocky enough wanting to see Frieza's 3rd form, thinking it being a better challenge. Yeah, he went Vegeta there. Frieza's 4th form is more believable: they just stood there in shock it actually happening, not knowing what to do. Running wasn't an option. Only Vegeta after healing by Dende thinking he's a super saiyan, he can take on Frieza even in final form easily. Also only Piccolo noticed though not in the least giving as much a big aura as former 2, the 4th one truly being the most dangerous. Just the cold shimmer in Frieza's eye.

This is my testimony becoming a born again Christian. I knew Jesus was real and what he did on the cross at Cavalry was real but I never repented or put my faith in him for salvation, I didnt have a personal relationship with him, so I was easily lead astray. I ended up becoming a white witch (part of the new age lie) in the name of Christ, letting many demons into my life. I thought I was seeing demons all the time because my spiritual powers were growing (pure pride and arrogance), but in reality I was leading myself into a dark pit. I'm so thankful God is quick to mercy and slow to wrath because I was a foolish prideful child for a very long time, he could have crushed me at any moment. Instead he humbled me and gave me another chance to do things right. Its not to late for you either. Truly repent and put your faith in Jesus for salvation, not your own beliefs or works. God came down as man (Jesus Christ) and lived a sinless life, he died as the perfect sacrifice bearing all of our sins in him and taking the wrath of God upon himself, was resurrected on the third day defeating death, then ascended to our Father in heaven. We've all sinned against a morally perfect God. Our own works can't wipe the slate clean and can't save us from eternal damnation which we deserve.. which means, JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY. He's faithful in his promise to forgive your sins and credit his righteousness to you, he will give you a new heart and a new spirit, and sin will no longer have dominion over you. Gods love for us is incomprehensible because he is pure love. So humble yourself today, repent and place your faith solely in Jesus, and proclaim him King of Kings and Lord of Lords to all.
