I really like Todd's response to Bojack. There was no "YOU LIED TO ME!!!!! NOW LET'S BE SAD FOR 5 MINUTES WHILE SAD MUSIC PLAYS IN THE BACKGROUND ( I'll forgive you at the end anyway)". He just... tells him he's upset. That's it. This show is really something else when it comes to characters. And I absolutely Love it :)
@manband206 жыл бұрын
That's what this show does best. People need to earn forgiveness and work to build and rebuild relationships after they mess them up. Diane and Mr. Peanutbutter are the exception as their story is showing how two completely different people struggle and fail to make a marriage work despite their differences and continually fight, apologize, work to rebuild, make things better, fight, and so on.

She probably just showed Bojack the way we see Bojack - a failure, but a charismatic failure that we can all relate to (so we want him to have his comeback even though he might not deserve it). Bojack’s one-trick is that he’s too afraid to face the failure part so does things that will keep him one

An author's/artists work is their baby. Diane put A LOT of effort and thought into making something great. So yeah, she's gonna get pissed when Bojack calls it garbage and says no one will ever read it just because it doesn't paint him as the perfect person he wants to be seen as. Wouldn't you rather read something real about someone instead of made up bullshit? She didn't include "nice" things because Bojack... isn't nice and doesn't do nice things. And people can relate to that to an extent, which makes someone more likable because they're like you. Also Diane is not 25, she's like 37-38 lol

Actually, weirdly enough, Bojack makes my actual diagnosed depression better. Not every character in Bojack is perpetually broken. They make overall progress throughout the seasons even if they backslide here and there, and it's comforting to hear the self-deprecating thoughts you've had voiced by well-written characters.

diane published the book in buzzfeed because in retailation that she worked hard to get to know the real bojack and she wrote what she considered was right for bojack but he lashed out at her for making him look like a shithead, and todd accidently sabotaged the movie to get revenge that he ruined his chance of becoming a rock opera producer

So BoJack was angry that the book shows BoJack to be the complete asshole that he is? BoJack did people dirty and never apologized. He has only rationalized it all in a way to make himself look like the victim. After seeing how he has treated Todd, Princess, Mr. PB, random women, his former Hollywood comedian partner, and others; the book better not be a squeaky clean retelling of his life. Diane worked on the book while BoJack was too busy playing between Princess, Diane, and Random Insert of any episode. Also scheming a way to make the sessions get Diane to notice him more in a better light. He never inquired about her process and when she is completely finished and ready to print, then he is like "this is garbage?" She had a right to be angry. I never felt sorry for him in this episode. I know they are way past this episode. I just really don't understand the defense of BoJack at this point after everything we have seen him do in what 5 month time period? He is 40 years old. Your ghost writer watches you do people do people dirty, the book will reflect it.

Bojack wanted Diane to write a honest book and repeated that multiple times. She didnt write memoirs from his perspective but she always respected what Bojack wanted. Her leaking stuff is wrong and Bojack is entirely in the right to fire her for this but its not like Diane betrayed him with the book.

If they said mister peanut butter was 4 it's be weird cause dog years are 7 to each human year so Mr peanut butter is 28 or 35
@frakkintoasterluvva79206 жыл бұрын
There aren't really 7 years to each human year. It's not at all that simple. If it were true, dogs would only be entering puberty in their second year - when in fact, many dogs are in puberty at around 6 months, mate and have puppies before they turn 1 year. Also, average lifespan of many dog breeds is 13, and 91 is definitely not the average lifespan of a human, not even with all the advantages of modern medicine. Not to mention the fact that different breeds have different lifespans, and that smaller breeds tend to also mature earlier, and to live longer. However, as for Mr Peanutbutter etc. - they are all obviously supposed to represent humans and are human for all intents and purposes. The animal thing is just for puns and jokes. Therefore their ages are human as well. Mr Peanutbutter was a star of a sitcom in the 1990s, so he has to be close to BoJack in age, a little younger perhaps but not by much. Probably in his late 40s.

@manband206 жыл бұрын
That's why this show is fantastic. You end up siding with Bojack and understanding and relating to how he feels even if you don't WANT to. He's that dark part of your mind that is cynical, spiteful, hate-fueled, and unable to make things better and seems to only make things worse. We WANT him to get better as the show goes on and he becomes self aware of what makes him who he is and want to change that part of himself. ESPECIALLY in Season 4 with Beatrice. No spoilers, but she is the reason why we can see Bojack changing for the better as the show goes on.

He's a horrible person, but by no means terrible. He is living in the aftermath of the world he created for himself. He became famous, ruined his best friend's life, and hasn't done anything of note since Horsin' Around ended. He's in an on again/off again relationship with his agent who he's only with because he can be and sabotages Todd to keep him around so he won't be completely alone again. @ChevaliersEmeraude6 жыл бұрын
Kevbo Dude, worst idea ever. For starter, without spoiling anything, many of the stuff from season 4 and 5 are influenced by the first seasons. Secondly, only the first half of season 1 is relatively "bad", and really there isn't a single bad episode after the Winter Soldier event. And most importantly, season 1 serves as an introduction to the characters, so that you care about them in future episodes. You don't get that as much of you jump straight to season 4!
