In the actual story from the Gaiden, Itachi put her in a Tsukuyomi genjutsu where she lived a full peaceful life with Itachi (getting married, having kids etc.) up until dying of old age, in which dying in the illusion caused Izumi to die in real life. Itachi gave her a nice, painless death and she thanked him just before passing away. I’M STILL PISSED THE ANIME ROBBED US OF THAT MOMENT

I think the word they were looking for wasn't animation since one normie mentioned it didnt have sakuga, but they were enjoying the direction. The composition too. The shadows and the way the story was structured like pannel-wise was very tight. Average episodes feel kinda boring in comparison cause there is no time or creative input to do anything beyond what is placed on the page. Fair enough the eps come out fast. But this is why not every episode is a banger, unlike seasonal shows where they have time and energy. I think people mix art style, animation, and direction too much. Some animators can do all three, like the final eps of full metal alchemist. Detailed pictures, smooth animation, tons of pictures, paced well, directed well with angles, music backgrounds etc.

The crazy thing about Itachi's dads Mangekyo is their secret power is to actually see in the future. Which is why he was able to show such a vivid and detailed image of Naruto. I think if Itachi showed his father that he had Shisui's eye and that Danzo took his other eye that would've drastically changed the Uchiha's fate. Also when itachi fights sasuke in the hideout, the 3rd person to unlocking the mangkeyo wasn’t madara that he was referring to. It was their dad.

Notice that Danzo did this all behind the Hokage's back. We also learned earlier that Hiruzen asked for time to negotiate. That is when Danzo decided to make a pre-emptive strike - to eliminate that option. When Third said that "There was no other way..." it was probably based on what Danzo had told him. Perhaps, there could have been a "Third" option, but we never got to see it, because of Danzo. We learn from Tobirama that in spite of his feelings about the Uchia, he made them the police force to involve them in the village & give them a bigger stake in its future. Danzo had his own intrepretation of Tobirama's actions, and decided that he could isolate & cut off the Uchia clan in Tobirama's name. Tobi was definitely Obito. If you notice, he was teleporting in & out of the area. It is even possible that Madara might have already been dead. He was an OLD man, and the plan was to eventually resurrect him using the rinnegan.

Sad fact: In the manga, It was Itachi himself who killed Izumi his girlfriend but before he did it, He used his mangekyou to trap her in a genjutsu where she spent her life growing old with Itachi and died of age in a matter of seconds. Izumi thanked Itachi for that was all she wanted as Itachi cried back and finally killed her. Wish they could've animated that because I don't know why they didn't since this is an emotional show.

In actuality Obito wasn't the one who killed Izumi it was Itachi. He put Izumi in a genjustu where he and Izumi lived peacefully, got married and had kids. They grew old and died together but since Izumi's brain thought the genjustu was real her brain stopped functioning because it thought it died of old age. As the genjustu ended and Izumi was about to die two words escaped her mouth that were meant for Itachi, "thank you." And with that Izumi Uchiha died (her death being the only painless death in the Uchiha massacre) with only Obito and Itachi being there. Itachi with tears in his eyes from not only killing and watching his lover die but hearing her say thank you for the wonderful genjustu and for loving her, even though she died by Itachi's hands.

Before she died, Itachi used Tsukuyomi at maximum power to make Izumi see her and Itachi spending time together as husband and wife. Even if it's just a genjutsu she was still happy. In my view, a great analogy to understand Itachi's dilemma is to think that the clan is like a religion. Already the village, the "society" around. So much so that it is said that, in the formation of the village, several clans came together, such as the two main ones, Uchiha and Senju, but also Sarutobi, Uzumaki, etc. Itachi grew up and as an intelligent child gradually realized the bonds of his clan, seeing that the future prospects of the society around him went far beyond the clan's principles.

You need to remember this wasn’t Madara but Obito who helped Itachi, Obito was on a path to destroy the world it wouldn’t matter which side he was on only what would help him achieve project Tsu Ki No Me as to him everyone was already dead anyway. If anything having an entire clan who could potentially develop enough to control the Bijuu would be a potential threat to the plan. If it had been Madara he may have considered joining the clan but then you need to remember they didn’t side with him when he tried to invite rebellion so he would probably want vengeance on them as much as the rest of the village.

In the itachi novel, obito doesn’t kill itachi’s girl. Itachi goes to her house first and uses such a powerful genjutsu she lives and entire life with itachi in her mind then dies. Itachi and Shisui both tried to persuade the clan to go for a non-violent route and enter into some sort of peace negotiations for more than 2 years. While nearly all clan members rejected that and were supportive of a violent coup d'etat against Konoha which is about 25× to 30× larger with its Shinobi and Civilian Population. Fugaku's plea for bloodless revolution is meaningless when the Uchiha Clan is going against most strongest hidden village of the 5 great shinobi nations with its shinobi spread across multiple clans like Hyuga, Akimichi, Yamanaka, Nara, Aburame ,Sarutobi, etc and even from no clan the Anbu Black Ops Hiruzen and Danzo who are themselves extremely powerful. The Uchiha Clan has 100-150 members and their self-interest would lead to blood civil war within Konoha causing enormous bloodshed across Konoha's innocent civilians and Shinobi and could easily trigger a 4th great ninja war with other shinobi nations attacking an extremely vulnerable Village causing global bloodshed across Shinobi and the inevitable demise of Konoha entirely. Remember the Uchiha Clan- nearly all of them were supportive of a violent insurrection against Konoha. All the people killed in the video are not innocent bystanders. Rather these people who were supportive of a violent coup without realizing the consequences of their actions across Shinobi World and Konoha. They were on a path of self destruction. The Village Elders and Hiruzen were not the best. But the same could be said about the entire Uchiha and especially Fugaku who could have initiated talks with Hiruzen considering he is pretty close to Hiruzen. Konoha's Elders are not innocent by marginalizing Uchiha Clan for the Nine Tails Attack. But the fact remains that both the times Nine Tails attack were orchestrated by Uchiha members. Instead of trying to understand that, going for a violent coup and not even understanding it from their perspective is just stupidity. By the way you think the Anbu only spied on the Uchiha. But the Uchiha Clan also inserted its members within Konoha command structure to act as spies and to relay info back to the clan. I hate it when people just think the Uchiha were just completely innocent people in all of this. It's sickening. Danzo is Evil but that doesn't imply the Uchiha were innocent. Itachi ended up doing exactly what Shisui wanted: Protect the Village and ,The Uchiha Name for Shinobi Peace, Konoha's Population and also Sasuke.

A few things here, 1.) Fugaku was not trying to control 9 tails damn it. He said that's what THE CLAN would have wanted him to do had they know about his Mangekyou Sharingan. He was keeping it a secret from them to make sure he protects Naruto and the village. 2.) A few episodes ago somewhere around episode 358, when Minato and Kushina dies, Mikoto Uchiha, Fugaku's wife will be holding baby Sasuke in her arms and she'll be holding young Itachi's hand and standing in front of the hospital ward where Naruto was sleeping as an orphan baby. It's mentioned in the Itachi gaiden novel that she wanted to adopt Naruto. She and Kushina were really good friends. Fugaku did not agree to that because he wanted to save Naruto. Had he agreed to it, the same thing what he showed to Itachi would have happened. Because of that he had to disagree. That shows how much of a nice man he too was. He was just unfortunately sandwiched between the clan's interest and the village which was desperately pushing them to the edge. These subtle emotions and concerns in their smallest decisions are so intense and now a days people just don't understand at all. 3.) Izumi, Itachi's love was not killed by Obito. She was actually put to rest by Itachi himself. In the novel, he puts her under his Tsukuyomi and makes her live her entire life peacefully and happily with him and have a family with him, they had a baby and then she die as an old lady in the genjutsu and then she dies here. He gave a her a life that she desired before she passed away. But he knew it was all just an illusion. I am still awestruck with the amount of heartbreaking stuff Itachi went through at such a young age. 4.) You guys and so many others talk as if Hiruzen was the guy who was careless here. You always say screw you Hiruzen that this and all... You must know Fugaku respected Hiruzen utmost as he named his younger son after the father of Lord 3rd himself - Sasuke Sarutobi. That name was given to him by Hiruzen itself. Sarutobi has tried to negotiate so much. Even when Danzo told in front of Shisui that they had to strike the clan at all cost, even then Hiruzen did say he wanted to have a word with the Uchihas. It was Danzo who kept pushing it more and more. He truly did not want the Uchihas to survive at all in the name of protecting the leaf... where he was the one creating that coup d'etat situation. And the decision of Uchiha massacre was take by Danzo as he had the control over the foundation. Hiruzen did not take that decision. He still till the end wanted a peaceful means just like Fugaku, a bloodless revolution. If the Village did a preemptive strike on the Uchiha Clan and let a few survivors live, the survivors could claim they were annihilated based on the tension between them and the administration that all were aware of. Uchihas might have been hated by the Konoha administration, but because of this claim, other clans would start to wonder if staying in the Hidden Leaf was the safest move when the government orders your annihilation on speculation alone. The only wrong thing he did was letting Danzo live even after he had the glimpse of his misdeeds. Danzo was overriding so many of the Hokage's decisions. This is the reason the massacre happened. He is not the one to blame for but it was Danzo, Koharu and Homura. You guys act as if Naruto took care of himself when he was 1 to 3... Damn it someone must have taken care of him na? Look I get it, Hiruzen promised Kushina and Minato to take care of him. He wasn't the one who leaked the information of 9 tails inside Naruto to the leaf. In the novel its mentioned it was Danzo again if I am not wrong. He was the ass who leaked that info. Hiruzen was helpless again. And like how Hiruzen assigned Ebisu to take care of young Konohamaru, it wasn't that simple to assign anyone to Naruto. 9 Tails had wrecked the house and destroyed the families of so many shinobis. All of them genuinely hated him. Despite of that Hiruzen made sure Naruto could still stay in the village, even amidst the complete village being against it except a few exceptions. Jiraiya could not take care of Naruto as he was away on his journey to find a prodigy student. Kakashi was going through his own mental trauma, and moreover he was in Anbu under Danzo. This could directly expose him to Danzo too... Hiruzen lost his very own wife that night too... If not he would have given the baby to her to take care of him. She was the one who delivered Naruto... It wasn't a simple decision for Hiruzen. Despite of that he gave young Naruto a apartment to live in. I totally and 100% agree that loneliness is something no one should go through. But Hiruzen was the hokage in the most fucked up period. That is why Hiruzen used to personally visit Naruto every now and then since he was about 3 years old. If you guys haven't seen it then watch episode 480 of Naruto Shippuden I guess. The only thing he did wrong was letting Danzo continue and live. It isn't something we haven't seen earlier. Even Hashirama and Naruto have done the same thing. But it's just that Hiruzen was a little more sensitive of a guy who could not confront them. Watching this series on the surface doesn't help if you really want to admire it. Stand in the shoes of those characters and see the world, you will understand how it is to be them. Naruto is not a simple straight forward show with some philosophical quotes. It's really deep. People call everything filler in the series. A lot of them are not fillers example Kakashi's backstory is called Kakashi's filler seriously so much is revealed in that wtf? Indra Ashura's backstory is called filler. Come on seriously? Someone needs to recheck and update the filler list in the websites.

Y’all should read how Itachi killed Izumi in the book. He put her under Tsukuyomi where they lived their life together; got married, had kids, and died together. In her head she died of old age but in real time she died instantly. Very sad😢

His dad didn’t want to control the nine tails at all, it was the clan who wished for it. The father wanted to catch them by surprise but never kill them, just over throw them. Hence why he said “bloodless revolution”. That’s why he kept his Mangekyo a secret because he knew the clan would realize his power and try to attack. Plus he didn’t really have a choice since majority of the Uchiha wanted to start a coup.

Look it up, technically the kamui is a chakra based technique and therefore can be absorbed and seen by the rennigan and Itachi's sword might work straight through Tobi's holographic state. I mean he even said that itachi was a thorn in his side and had to wait for his death to make the moves he wanted to.

19:16 uhmmmm... Itachi and Obito also had to kill ALL the Uchiha children (except Sasuke)... just saying. Also, Obito explained why he didn't side with the Uchiha insurrection when he told Sasuke about Itachi. Obito said that he, (acting as Madara), didn't side with the insurrection because the Uchiha betrayed Madara in the past as well (the Uchiha clan wanted to have peace with the Senju and Madara was forced to accept it even though he was against it). So Madara (in reality, Obito) felt like they got what they deserved in my opinion. Also since the ultimate goal is the infinite tsukuyomi it doesn't matter who and how many have to die to achieve it since everyone who is left then will reunite with their loved ones who died. That's how I think they (Obito and Madara) justified all their atrocities.

Interesting thing about this episode and the initial episode where we saw Itachi kill his mother and father is when he has the conversation with Danzo the first time and he says align with the Uchiha it shows the good statue and when he says align with the leaf it shows the demon statue in this episode they reversed the order as if to say your not sure whose side you should take the villages or the Uchiha as both had good and bad intentions
