The Pig's Greed they keep referring to is how Subaru only keeps asking and wanting their help but offering nothing in return. Of course, it's expected that he's panicking since he's seen wtf is about to happen and his hatred for the Cult is blinding his judgement.

Subaru’s just self centred in general at this point. Sure he does a lot of heroic stuff, but it’s almost always because HE wants someone’s love and attention. It’s this arc that really pushes him to get what ‘they’ want.

To basically explain Crusch’s, Priscilla’s, & Anastasia’s reaction to Subaru’s “request”: Subaru entered an area full of nothing but royalty and nobility, and they ALL remember his embarrassing displays from the day before. Here comes this poor fool asking for a favor from potential RULERS OF AN ENTIRE NATION. None of them are outright bad people. they stand nothing to gain from just doing Subaru a favor to save a rival and are jockeying for position between each other. Crusch (green hair) is strategic & pragmatic and states her reason for denying Subaru logically. She stands nothing to gain from accepting Subaru’s request. Priscilla (rich red head) is a prideful woman & values pride & loyalty. Any man that would claim to be a knight of a candidate whom would in turn lower himself to lick a rivals foot just for their help would clearly piss her off. Anastasia (pink loli) is a business owner and staunch capitalist. Of course if there’s no way her and her entrepreneurial spirit gain from a decision, it’s a bad decision... Subaru went in to each situation begging instead of looking at people as individuals with their own goals, immediately after embarrassing himself. He looked like a crazy loser to all of them.

Also even though we and Subaru KNOW with ABSOLUTE certainty the attack is going to happen, all they have to go on is this lunatic's word, he has no other proof and as Crusch says even though he genuinely believes this is going to happen, this level of certainty with no hard evidence just strikes her as madness.

The issue is that subaru expects them to sacrifice their soldiers to save a rival for the crown. They dont have any obligation to help the enemy.

Exactly. Why in the name of fuckery would you, as a leader, use your resources and put your subodinates in danger to help a rival? Subaru is expecting people to move based on pure altruism. But the fact of the matter is, very few people in the world are kind enough to do that. Tit-for-tat makes the world keep running, not moral obligations to do the right thing.

It's really unfortunate that Reinhardt was not in town at the time, because he's one of the few people who will do something without expecting compensation.

Y’all gotta see not only the surface of the situation. What Subaru has experienced till this point is enough to completely shatter someone, as such he himself (unlike other mcs) suffers repercussions throughout these events making his judgement and decisions bold or drastic. That’s not being stupid, it’s merely him doing everything that HE possibly can to prevent the future events.

Except he's not doing EVERYTHING that he possibly can, not at all. He's reacting and going for the first and easiest solution that comes to his mind, run and beg others for help. His "stupidity" doesn't even really have to do with the trauma he's suffered so much as it's the fact that he's just a naïve kid who has no idea how the world works, neither his own world nor this new one. He's treating this new world like it's 21st century Japan and he can just call for help and expect his call to be answered for no other reason than that he asked for it. At this point in the story he hasn't learned the value of stopping for moment and thinking things through, trouble-shooting a problem, and working out possible solutions, their costs, and planning out how to implement them. This is something that experience teaches and he just doesn't have that yet and it's frustrating to many viewers to see. That's why the second half of this arc and the rest of the season are so good, because he makes that transition from a naïve child to an adult, exactly as the author intended, with the exact moment of this transition being marked by the story title Re:Zero being dropped by Subaru after Rem's confession.

It was a shitshow. Nahid demonstrated that he doesn't have the cognitive ability to understand an anime that doesn't have shounen style action. They also complained that there was too much dialogue as if this is a new thing. Long story short they switched to dub for completely stupid and nonsensical reasons.
