I love Hsien-ko so much she's so adorable and cute, I've been mostly playing as her on UMVC3 along with Mike Haggar and Sir Arthur. :)

While everybody was crowded over and playing Mortal Kombat in my local arcade, Darkstalkers was always open and with me on it. Hsien-ko and Rikuo were my two favorites. I played as BB Hood from time to time to try and do her special, which I never could figure out. Now I have this game for my psp with Hsien-ko still remaining as my favorite and Felicia replacing Rikuo as my other new favorite.

I saw this character as a child when playing games at arcade and i think she legitimately inspired a ton of things I ended up making later in a creative sense, I just remember child me thinking the fact she can throw all those cool weapons and has giant mechanical claws was one of the coolest things I have ever seen (and adult me still agrees)

Hsien-Ko is definitely one of Capcom's best ever designs. My 3rd Favorite Darkstalker (Behind Morrigan & Jedah) And I was so hyped when she made the MvC3 roster...only to soon learn she was garbage outside of Gold Armor assist :( lol!

Although I am pretty new to fighting games and therefore have never played Darkstalkers, I absolutely adore the character of Hsien-Ko and am thankful that she exists since she is almost certainly the main inspiration for another favourite character of mine - this time one that I *have* played, namely Squigly from Skullgirls. If Darkstalkers were to get a big Killer Instinct style revival I would almost certainly main jiangshi waifu.

Hsien-Ko's design is so sexy and beautiful, and is right there with Felicia and Morrigan for me in terms of sex appeal. She's heavily underrated in that aspect. Plus, she has a cute personality and demeanor, which makes her doubly as likeable.

YO gotta tell ya this character and this word"Jiang shi" ,in chinese we call (殭Jiang屍shi) and it means zombie.even those zombies from resident evil, we also call them jiang shi,so it's not like chinese vampire, it's chinese zombie. and there are several old movies about Jiang shi if you are interested in you can search 殭屍.

Actually Jiangshis are vampires, zombies, and ghosts all together the hop around and has their hands out like a zombie, they summon spirits like ghost and when she stops movie and she moves her head in a circle like she is possessed, and vampire her skin and her claws

Really enjoyed these videos so far, amazing work! Keep it all up~! I have to yet get UMVC3 but it saddens me ton to hear she's the worst character in the game, considering how much I like her compared to other Darkstalkers. Still, she's plenty out there, which is really nice~ I also wish they'd give more use to Mei Ling in the future, preferably in the crossover stuff as I think she'd be interesting to explore further in means of character (even if you can play her as an alt for Hsien-Ko via now-gone DLC for UMVC3.) After all, the OVAs and the games made her feel quite badass too, though more in the mental, collected fashion. Also I liked the crossover canon insertion that she's a big fan of Arthur of Ghosts 'n' Goblins-fame. Wish they also made some thing out that she'd be a rival to Dante of DMC-fame. Or maybe these partners in the job. Felicia, Jon Talbain or Jedah next, maybe~
