I am really happy to have watched this video about myotomes. I am not a doctor neither I'm I in the practicing any sort of medical science. However, I find a strong correlation in my theories about the human cellular regeneration. When I coupled this principle with that of plants and sages of the past I became aware of certain rare principles not practiced by modern-day Christians, Jews and Muslims, but in smaller degrees the monks or masters in China and Japan still practice but not as detailed as the Torah and the Bible suggested we follow it. Thermodynamics first and second law is a life saver and I am beggining to connect the dots which a lot of people won't dare to research on cause cause they purely work in fragments due to how most of us were taught to learn how to think how to think 🤔. Thank you very much and everyone of you should stay inspired by the second law of thermodynamics.

If you continue this way, you may find you're not so special after all. My point is not yours. I sincerely urge to keep your thoughts to yourself else your own thoughts will give you night mares you will never tell or want to tell anyone. I am not here to thread blows with you unprofessionally. If you continue in this raging path you will find that you're only waking my ancestors whether you want to believe it or not. You've been told beforehand. Let me be.

wow,, it is amazing how you illustrate this topic in such an easy-to-understand way! I have been struggling with segment anatomy since weeks and your videos help me to get the overview of the main principles. Is there a software which I can use to illustrate the respective sklerotome, myotome and dermatome and enterotome and also the vessels along these groups of body parts of each segment in a kind of layered and group way?

Thank you very much that was very helpful!! I’m just wondering if muscles are innervated by sensory nerves as well because what I know is is that muscles have muscle spindles that can detect changes in stretch or sense pain, through which nerves do these fibres travel through? For example if brachioradialias muscle is injured and pain is detected through, which nerve do these travel through is it radial nerve?

How is it that in the simplified versions of myotomes c6 is stated as the main wrist flexor and c7 as the wrist extensor and then in the graph @8:53 the main myotome contributing to wrist flexion is said to be c7 (+c8) with minor input from c6 and and for wrist extension it is mostly c8 and some c7?

7:15 hmmm. You are overlooking that ASIA charts are concerned with categorizing spinal cord level injury in a spinal injury patient. They have nothing to do with nerve roots. Other myotome charts relate to nerve roots, or more specifically, the spinal segment level the nerve root exits the spine. Nerve roots and cord levels do not correspond. Why? Because the cord ends at L1/2 junction i.e.: C8 cord level is in C7 vertebra T12 cord level is at T8 vertebral level Lumbar cord levels are at T9-T11 vertebral level Sacral cord levels are at T12-L1 vertebral level Ergo: T12 cord level compromise has different motor outcomes to T12 nerve root compromise at the intervertebral foramen.

Good stuff but the essence of it is simple. Localizing the leision by physical exam when MRI is available is like doing a thorough physical exam to diagnose a fracture before X-ray. . The fact is any weakness of the muscle group implies pressure on nerve root and the only thing to remember is to do a quick exam of muscle groups, always remembering that there is overlap. Thats why the positive likelihood ratio doesn't improve with physical exam findings.
