I just started a restoration of my own on an AW11. I’ve got absolutely no metal working skills and I’m learning as I go, finding your channel is a god send! Subscribed

Ah that's awesome mate :) I'm learning all this stuff myself, but the good thing is it's all just steel, so if you stuff it up you just cut it out and try again! :) cheers for watching :)

You *should* be happy with that mate - great work! I also collected all the bits when I restored a Moke - they added up to a huge pile 🤷‍♀

Congrats on a job well done!!!! I certainly don't blame you for avoiding welding overhead wherever you can - i just finished welding in my Rear Subframe Mount Reinforcing Plates in my BMW E46 Coupe and it was such a relief to have finished it after receiving countless burns from molten metal including my hair momentarily catching fire at one point!!!😂😂😂

@@dazzamac70 cheers mate! Yeah that's a repair I'm fairly proud of! Oh man I've done a bit more upside down welding since this vid and I've got it kinda working a bit better but it's still highly unenjoyable!

I am currently restoring my 1989 SC mr2 and I fixed my floor pans with sheet metal from an old washing machine lol. Worked perfectly and it’s already painted on one side
