I’m starting my nursing journey at 31 after a successful (short) career as a director of rehab/therapist. I realized I could not stay in rehab for the long term and made the choice to switch. Luckily a lot of my pre requisites transfer and I was accepted to an ABSN program & will be finishing by the time I’m 32. Grateful for the journey even though it was def not what I planned for.

I know right. I am in my last year of nursing school and I have been watching her before I started.

She did well. She moved through quickly before bedside nursing ate her up. Move on when you feel that time fellow nurses. Dont hang on to that bedside unless youre happy there. The healthcare system will get much uglier before it gets better. I hope we can heal it and I wish this young lady success in her new life!

I’ve watched your nursing content since 2016 when I had just started college and was doing prereqs. I graduated May 2020 and worked ICU and nursing broke me so I left bedside (soon leaving nursing altogether). Despite all this I still love to come here and listen to your journey. You’re so inspiring! You’re the definition of resilience and good things do come to those who believe in themselves. Forever a subscriber and will be listening to everything you share ❤ thanks for what you do!

Thank you for sharing your story! I’m approaching 30. I’m 28 now but work as an accountant right now I’m making the switch to nursing. I wanted to do this for so long and felt so old when I applied. I started taking my first few pre-requisites and was nervous that I wouldn’t do well since I don’t have a science background but I’ve gotten all A’s so far. I’m so excited to continue my journey, even if I complete it a little later than I expected. My goal is to also become an NP. Life’s not about the destination, anyway!

I would love to see content of switching from a nurse mindset to a provider mindset. I think there’s a lot of new changes that need to happen to have that confidence. I feel like so many ppl in 2025 want to elevate themselves in their career so it would apply to many. For example; Me… switching from nursing to an integrative health practitioner, not there yet but will be graduating soon. Thanks girl!

I just started my job working as a tech in the TMC and you are literally my biggest inspiration. I’ve been watching your videos since you worked in postpartum and your video have helped me tremendously on figuring out my next steps in my career, encouraging me to stay motivated and focused while in nursing school, and learning things about the nicu which is the field I want to become a nurse in. I was a nicu baby and nicu nurses have a very special place in my heart. So thank you for all that you do you’re amazing. 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

Switching from Finance to my passion which is health, medical & science. I’ve always wanted to be a nurse but life was lifeing for sure. Now fast forward 10+ yrs later I’ve passed my entrance exam now about to take ATI Teas next week. After that I’ll be obtaining ADN & BSN concurrent. Then off to NP and hopes to excel from there! Watched you from the beginning you’re an inspiration for us all ❤

Love hearing and following your story. I’ve gone back and forth about the healthcare field and been hung up on things like bed baths which I know are silly. It’s not like anyone is excited to give them, but once they get into the habit of doing them they won’t be hung up on them. I know I just need to shift my perspective and get through the mental aspects. I am trying to decide between surg tech, pta and nursing. I keep coming back to nursing because of all the possibilities and can’t stop considering it. I’m wrapping up my final prerequisites now(a & p 2) and studying for the TEAS. I’ll likely take my CNA and try to work part time while I wait to get into a program and in the meantime I know it will give me experience and perspective. If you have any pep talk/ advice for getting over the anxiety of bed baths and changing I’m all ears. I’m not weird about body fluids I just want to make sure I make the patient feel comfortable. Thanks for sharing! I’ve always been hungry to understand how the body works/ nutrition etc and love knowing that I’m helping others. My goal is to graduate with a certification from one of the above programs before 40. I’m 36 now and done having kids.

Way to go 🎉🎉🎉you did your thang. I seriously am a nurse right now with an ADN. I got pregnant with my 1st son and was so sick I failed out of my BSN program. I had 3 more kids but I feel I love nursing but I may go another direction in business ownership. Might sell some feet pictures 😅. A girl is tired.

Thank you sm for this video🫶🏻 I’ve been doing my prerequisites now for like two years, I discovered you in high school and have seen you do a lot❤️ we’ve Dm a couple of times but not recently cause school has gotten a lot more serious. I took anatomy this past semester and was really put to the test, I passed with a C😫 although it’s not my preferred grade, out of 24 that were enrolled, there was only 8 of us at the end so a win is a win. I definitely felt discouraged towards the end and felt my nursing school options shortening. I also did a CNA course this past summer and have been trying to get a job, currently waiting on a second interview for one🤞🏻the societal pressure definitely gets to me sometimes, I also had a certain image of myself at 16. I got married a year ago and always go back and forth on when I want kids, I’m currently 22 and my goal was to have kids by 23. Looking at the economy and my career plan… probably not having children any time soon lol. It’s always nice to know that you aren’t the only one feeling like this. Love youuuu🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
