It is sad on the surface level but when you have felt those feelings or been through similar situations in life, it’s damn beautiful. Some may call it a cope, it’s not. It’s a man illustrating his experiences, thoughts, feelings and life through his profession, it may seem light hearted to many who don’t understand Theo, or only to an extent, but it’s actually super deep. I love it, it makes me happy and for some reason gives me a sense of hope.

My Ex's mother left him and his brother in a crib at 3 years old and left. They were found and sent to an orphanage. The grandmother picked them up years later age 10 but it didn't work out. He ran away at 13. went to Oregon and got a job as a logger. Met some Hell's Angels who took him under their wing. Chuckie Zito. A few years later selling pot to some famous people and using Coke in the 80's partying in Miami having LOTS of money....he killed his girlfriend by accident doing coke on his bike and got sentenced to 6 years manslaughter. Made the state pay for his BS and Ms degrees and set up his business as an ex con. Every year on the aniversary of her death he relapses.Thank god for the bikers, were really kind and took care of him like family. . Then he almost killed himself hitting a deer. 3 months in ICU. The guys sat guarding his room in shifts. Came out with Hep C. Get my drift? IT's work. Get it done before you're 65 like HIM. YES your parent's fucked you up. Find new friends you can trust. No girl addicts.Meetings have their place but you're wallowing in that shit. Maybe find a functional psychologist who will give you assignments every week totally outside of your comfort zone. Even Tony R.

'm technically 60 days sober but really only 48 days sober. The first 12 days were spent in the hospital, 8 of which were in a medically induced coma from wrecking my motorcycle with no gear on. Broke 6 ribs, wrecked my knee, hand and arm. Took 3 surgeries and 2 skin grafts to fix me up. Had a very frightening spiritual experience while in the hospital that renewed my faith in God which a 5th of whiskey a day had all but decimated. If you are an addict of any stripe and don't get it under control, it's likely to kill you or worse kill the innocent around you.

What is it about comedians and troubled geniuses? I didn't even put theo in the genius bracket but I think he is using the norm Mcdonald technique which he said he learned from letterman that it has no benefits for a comedian to be intellectual or show your intellect with your audience

Rehabilitation is impossible without other successful situations occurring. It is almost impossible to overcome addiction if everything else in your life is a disaster. It's always the people who find success to aid in recovery preaching. A bunch of bs.
