Wroclaw is one of my favourite cities. Most English (I am one), say “Roclaw” for Wroclaw, but the correct pronunciation is best said as “Vrotzwav” the C is a “tsss” and the L has a little diagonal line through it which makes it sound like a W! So English can just say “Vrotzwav” and sound like a local. And also love your films!

To raczej złudzenie,bo ta ekscytacja często wynika z założenia ,że u nas to syf,kiła i mogiła,PRL i bieda.Rzeczywistość wygląda tak,że to my wyjeżdżając za granicę napotykamy syf i tandetę.

Mając dużo doświadczenia w podróżach zagranicznych na różne kontynenty, śmiało zaryzykuję tezę, że takich miejsc jest bardzo dużo a standardy jakie mamy w polskich hotelach są przeciętnie wyższe niż w porównywalnej klasie hotelu zagranicą. A jeżeli chodzi o Wrocław, to wielokrotnie spotkałem się opiniami Niemców, Holendrów, itp., że moje miasto (tak mieszkam we Wro, Krzyki-Partynice konkretnie) jest zaskakująco czyste!!!

Hi Thedora and Graeme ! Is Poland just a place where you stoped some time, between many other countries, or did you specially go to Poland to discover it more deeply ? I'm from Switzerland, I know Poland from a long time, and strangely, when I say I go to Poland, it still sounds strange to many People, like it would be a strange idea...90 % of the people use to go to classical destinations (Spain, Italy, Greece, etc) to so called sunny destinations; and, even over 30 years after the iron curtain fell down, many people still have an image of Poland that belongs tho the past. Of course it is changing, but this process takes many time. According to me, Warsaw will soon belong to the top 3 visited cities, no other european city developed so much as Warsaw during the last 3 decades, and 2021 will be an incredible year for it, with a huge quantity of projects which will be achieved. Anyway, can you tell me what you like in Poland, and what you do not ?....have a happy year both of you !

@@piotrhernik1521 moment :) after all, my comment was not meant to be anything wrong :) I live in this beautiful city so I noticed a typo after the title :) with a smile (as you must have noticed in my comment) I let them know that it is worth correcting it :) I really like this channel and I think it's great that such videos are made and the beauty of Poland is promoted :) And when it comes to pronunciation, it does not bother me :) our language is difficult and the names along with Ł also :) so I admit that I have a little fun when they pronounce WROCŁAW (of course I'm not making fun of them :) but I admit that it causes smile on my face) :) :) :)
