Red Army did not liberate. It occupied ! Don’t forget Soviet Union TOGETHER with Germany attacked Poland in 1939. In 1945 it occupied the entire country in its way to Germany.
@sharky19504 жыл бұрын
They stood out side Warsaw and waited till Germans and Poles finish fighting , then they came in and started killing both. The liberation is a Russian propaganda as they wanna play Heroes for their own people but the world knows the truth. Unfortunately, a lot of poor easteners believe that.

Thank you "like no other" As a American history buff, I have read much of the polish occupation/liberation most books don't cover the truth as accurately as the locals 👍👏🌲🙏
@bababa42753 жыл бұрын
But they also did not have to go after Germans to Berlin. They could stop at the Polish-Russian border but they did not. As you know USA did not want to be involved in the European war. This is why US troops came at the end of the war.

Red Army saved lives of Poles, but didn't gave freedom, so technically they didn't liberate Poland
@kaiznpl3 жыл бұрын
@@orzelmorze5586 - True. I still pay respect for their fallen soldiers brought to war without asking them. That’s why every time I am on cemeteries with Red Army soldiers graves I light them a candle. If those boys have had a choice, most of them would like to stay home with their families. I’m not alone on this. Polish people don’t tolerate Red Army monuments because it is political artifact which promotes BS but we care about those men graves.

Hi there. I am smiling all day long since this morning when accidently discovered yours channel. Funny thing about this castel is that the village in which it was erected is called the Scrotum (Moszna in polish). I stayed one night about 8 years ago in a room with exactly the same looking bathroom with the same view from the window. Maybe it was the same room but its decor was more austere and poor back days. I love you both and your channel. Subscribed :D. Happy New Year with lots of great emotions on your upcoming journeys. I hug you tight.

After WW2 the castle did not have a permanent owner and was the home of various institutions until 1972 when it became a convalescent home. Later it became a Public Health Care Centre for Therapies of Neuroses and hold this funcion till 2013. Abandoned rooms were adapted to hotel, but no serious works were held. When they refurbish this palace it would be 4* and prices would triple

Fun fact. Next to this palace there are stables and there is a riding school. There is also a mini zoo with various interesting fur animals, e.g. Coati. I live in this zoo also a kangaroo that is very naughty, every now and then it jumps over the fence and runs around the surrounding fields and eats corn, rye, barley, beets and others. When the caretakers find him, he's so full that he can't run anymore. After being caught, the kangaroo goes on a diet - until the next escape. His escapes are reported in the local press. The joy of readers at his escapes is beautiful. Regards Robert

Thank you from sharing. It's a nice place, better from outside or as a museum to visit, not necessarly a hotel to stay. But we need to remember that just after WW2 the short period of the Soviet control caused significant damage to the castle's internal fittings in comparison to the minor damage caused by World War II.
