in phrasal verbs the pronoun like it, them, him ,always come between the two words like turn it on take them out help me out he brought me up give it up but noun can come before or after the second word in a phrasal verb like turn the fan on turn on the fan thanks basant india

but we can say: he turned them on ''and also say : he turned on them .. but then it it will have diffrent meaning .... plz replay and help me

yyassr30 yyassr30 He (subject) turned(phrasal verb) them (object) on He (subject) turned (verb) on(preposition) them (object) See the difference? In your first sentence turned.... on is a phrasal verb But that doens't mean turn on is always a phrasal verb turn on (To turn something on like a light bulb) turn on someone (switching sides or suddenly attacking someone)
