My favorite part about Dwight's mallard plan, is that it works perfectly but still accomplishes nothing. He gets fake "caught" but is still actually punished by Jim by making Dwight clean his car, and Dwight obviously never finds any real dirt on Jim by listening to hours of Jim's work calls. So all Dwight did was make himself clean Jim's car, yet he still felt so accomplished because his plan "worked"

When directly confronted, Jim is not on his strongest footing. Like when Roy found him in a compromising position with Pam and he immediately gave away their prank, or again with Roy attacking him directly. Also, he's frequently thrown off by Charles Miner. Or silly mistakes, like blabbing about Pam's pregnancy at the wedding or using his real cell phone at the Sabre store. 'He's also good at turning little issues into bigger ones inadvertently, like when they were trying to get accepted at the daycare, or drawing WAY too much attention to his tux (back to the Charles Miner thing). I think there may be more examples. Jim is quite clever when he has time to think, but if put on the spot, he sometimes stumbles.

Creed committed other crimes irrelevant to the strangler.

Just noticing this now, I feel like the see saw scene reveals the ultimate difference between ryan and dwight, ie the final straw that reveals ryan's sociopathy/psychopathy. Things used to be funny pranks or inconvenient schemes until Ryan suggests that he saws Jim's leg off. Its very subtle but its there
