Honestly, the Isley Brothers go back farther than that. They first song to ever chart was actually 1959 (shout) And their first major hit was twist & shout 1962 The first song to crack the top 20# pop charts number 2# R&B As a 5 year old, I remember it's your thing. As the first Isley brothers song, I can recall That was 1969. But you are right. They dominated the 70s and recreated their self in the 80s with more of a synthesizer sound.
