When this album came out, my sister, cousin and I literally ran to our local record store and brought the album. We ate, slept, went to school and took this album Everywhere we went for months. Played it on our stereo Religiously and then....met them along with Jermaine Jackson, who was their manager at the time, at the same local record shop. Got our album autographed and even had great conversations. One of Thee Best days of my life.❤❤❤❤❤

@@monicafranklin-nr1te No Mam, I totally disagree. These two guys were extremely talented, Bobby more so, but these guys sadly got strung out on drugs and because of that, Bobby ultimately passed away from full blown AIDS, and Tommy Passed away due to drug and alcohol abuse so yes, they wasted their God given talent, and unfortunately they weren't able to overcome their bad habits.

To hear more of that check out I Call Your Name, and There'll Never Be. Also Bobby and his siblings make up the group Debarge. And they put out some great music like Rythm of the Night, I Like It, All This Love, Time Will Reveal, and Who's Holding Donna Now? And your grandma definitely knows this music😂 She can certainly suggest a few songs for you 😊

You touched every base on this comment of yours. Another family music recording group that was on "Unsung" is The Sylvers. Their story also has family members that are tragic. Both DeBarge and The Sylvers should have been as successful as The Jackson family. I guess that Michael Jackson being the only one to destroy himself in his family are pretty good reasons to give them more of the spotlight. I don't know if La Toya Jackson qualifies as being self destructive. She just seemed to have committed embarrassing media attracting actions.

Michael Jackson's older brother Jermaine Jackson found and promoted this singing group. The second singer with the white jacket on and the rose on the lapel of his jacket is the older brother of the singing group DeBarge. One of his younger brothers in the singing group DeBarge used to date Michael Jackson's younger sister Janet Jackson. They had a beautiful black mother with a white father. The debarges told their family story. and they said thatTheir white father suffered constant racism from his own people because he had a black family. That second singer, the oldest brother of the singing group DeBarge's father beat him so brutally as a child, the older brother immersed himself in drugs until it killed him as an adult. Because they're white father had half black children and a black wife, when he worked at certain jobs and his white bosses found out, they would fire him. so he blamed his black family for it. he would come home and beat up his family and take it out on them. and also at least one other sibling in the singing group DeBarge also died from drug use because of the long history of abuse as children from their father who also beat their mother constantly.
