When I was a young girl, I was going through my sister's CDs and found Metallica Black (her boyfriend bought I for her and she never listened to it 🙄). I put it into the CD player and immediately fell in love. I listened to the album on repeat for a year and nothing else. I wasn't into metal or rock before then and they were my introduction to those genres and I've never looked back. Metallica and the Black album will always have a special place in my heart. Absolutely agree! I’ve mentioned it several times. That one and Hero Of the Day, and Bleeding Me…hell just watch the whole damn show.

Sad but true is one of my favorite songs from the black album. Its awesome watching a younger audience get into one if the most popular traditional metal bands that helped pave the way for other genres of rock and metal.

My brother and I paid $1300 a piece for tickets in the snake pit in Arlington. No way in hell I would pay that for any other band in the world. That's how influential this band has been to me as a drummer and a bass player.

I went to several Snake pit shows, never paid that much, I could reach out and touch them.

You should check out, “Spit Out The Bone”. It’s off their 2016 album and FULL of energy throughout the entire song. Also a GREAT song to work out to with insane instrumentals

You should check out the opening track from their second album, called Fight Fire With Fire, about nuclear war. Or the title track Ride The Lightning, about a man about to die in the electric chair. Both bangers.
