He stopped and spoke to me and my kids, he said "God loves the little children" and then left. I knew he lived several miles from me but you don't ever expect to meet someone like him outside of a store. It's just a nice memory of a very nice and talented man.

@@ES2990 oh knock if off please. Many of us have been doing our best to stop this all our adult lives. I grew up in Virginia where racism was very strong at the time and interracial marriage was against the law there, and was young during the civil rights movement. Those shaped my beliefs to support blacks and people of all races. I have multi racial friends of all ethnic groups including black, middle Eastern, Native Americans and hispanic, worked with and hung out with the black basketball players in college where we'd all get together at night in the dorms to play the piano and sing (a few of them went on to play with the Harlem Globe Trotters), brought black and other friends of varying races home for dinner with my family and have interracial family members. I continue signing political petitions, support and donated money to Rev. Warnock, Stacie Abrams, Corey Booker, Mandela Barns, Val Demings and a multitude of other people there, and voted twice for Obama. When he first ran, a friend said, "look at the black man." I had to look several times because I hadn't noticed Obama was black. It starts with one person at a time. As the Dalai Lama says, Peace Begins With the Individual". You sound like you're still bitter. So what are YOU doing to make changes? Can you think outside the box or are you still nurturing your grievances? Did you vote? Do you support candidates of all races based on qualifications, not just race? if so, did you vote Republican? Or Dem? Because that makes all the difference in the world. The awesome thing about this is how it's a ballad, yet it oozes power and precision.

Hearing James Brown is sadly nothing compared to seeing him live. RIP. He was an incredible performer. You can still see Seal live. Very similar vocals, not the same energy level in performing but still very very good.

The Godfather of Soul 🔥. You’ve got to see his energy and his dancing; it’s off the charts! PLEASE react to his whole 3 song performance at the TAMI show; it’s on KZbin; it will show you just what the man can do 🔥🔥🔥🔥

JB was otherworldly when it came to his energy. Do more LIVE James Brown, please. Also, speaking of LIVE performances, y’all gotta do Bootsy Collins - I’d rather be with you. You will not be disappointed. ✌🏽

I have seen literally hundreds of concerts in my life, and the two best were The Clash at the Motor City Roller Rink, and James Brown at an 800 seat club in Ann Arbor called Second Chance. This man does not disappoint. I agree with the people calling for the James Brown / Luciano Pavarotti version of this song. That is truly amazing. NO AUTOTUNE.

I was lucky enough to see James Brown's last ever performance before he died. He was still wearing a sequin jumpsuit, doing the 360 spin and the splits. He was an old man, but he was absolutely incrdible. What a legend of soul music.

I know I'm just some white guy, but the pride you deserve in this world, ALL that pride, stands on the shoulders of people like JB, Ali, King, Malcom, and all the old-timers you know who WOULD NOT YIELD. I LOVE watching you guys.

Those same freedom riders will be turning over in their graves if they see what is going on with today's time 🔒😢🔮. especially because those people fought for liberation. A great deal of those people die for a better life for their off springs.🔒😱☠️⚰️🤲😢🧟🔮

James Brown was the epitome of soul music. This is a small fraction of his impressive library of hit music. The Godfather of Soul is unequal. Rip James. Your legacy will live on with new generations to come.🙏🏿
