Great information. This video should be pinned to every weight loss group on FB. The lack of knowledge and unrealistic expectations I have seen there is astounding and is probably leading to a lot of frustration and failure.

Great video. I am fortunate that I respond well and on low doses of tirzepatide. I am doing "all the things" along with the medication and could not be happier. My heart honestly goes out to those who still struggle on the medication. I am not sure how well I would have taken it if I was a non responder. I also know it is early in my journey (30 down, 170 to go) and that things could change in that my metabolism may eventually slow or stop its response to the medication. Watching this video helps me arm myself for realistic expectations and a determination to persevere through any future challenges. I think having a good support system like what Dr Dan's clinic offers is the way to go if one isn't able to get realistic results on the medication. I very much appreciate these free YT videos because the information is gold. Wishing everyone well on their journey.

I’m ready to be in this for the long haul. I don’t care how long it takes me, I’m in for the long haul. I’ve made all the healthy lifestyle changes that I plan to keep FOREVER. So far I’m heading in the correct direction with the pounds going down! I love this drug. I’ve had NO nasty side effects🤞🩷

I’m a type two diabetic I was on Ozempic a few years ago did not lose any weight made me really really sick but then I wind up being put on MOUNJARO in the end of February 2024 I started out at 210 I’m down to 137 pounds, my A1c went from 13.6% to 5.6% and my blood sugar is very well controlled. I think it just depends on your body and how your body response to the medicine Ozempic I did not respond at all, but mounjaro I responded very well . Good luck to everyone.

I am wegovy and my appetite has been suppressed. I noticed I was leaving food on my plate that I would gobble up normally. I am not watching the scale but in the first four weeks, I lost 15 pounds. Each dose increases my appetite lessons.

I lost 4 lbs in 3 months. Gym 5 days a week and clean eating. Ozempic didn't work well for me. On Tirzepatide 2 weeks so far and lost 4 lbs. All this out of pocket $$$. Looking good so far.

I was having the same issue with Ozempic. Same situation, I am eating clean and working out. I just switched to tirzepatide this week. I pray it works.

How common is the other end of this. Zero side effects, weight loss of 1 to 2 pounds per week, appetite suppressed and all the other "good" results of using glp1? Of course using exercise and healthy diet choices are involved... I have nothing but a huge amount of praise for ozempic it's changed my life!!

I’m here! Nothing spectacular each week (generally a pound or 2), but I’m rolling along nicely. No hunger or my hunger is satiated pretty quickly when I eat, I’ve lost the desire to binge/eat crap, the only side effect is I’m a little less, erm, ‘regular’ (solved by a couple of prunes each day). Slow and steady is my goal so I train myself to live like this forever.

Great video. I don't think we like the long haul answer, but it's reality. We want a quick fix and maybe this is it for some people. For others it's just an extra helper.

I am responding well to Wegovy, about 12 weeks in and I've lost around 15lbs, but despite that, this video was SUCH a call out about not changing my other habits, because you're so right. Time to get my butt in gear and moving. Ugggghhh, I just hate it LOL. I did get my first "well not all of us can take a miracle injection" the other day. Epic side-eye.

I know I have to make dietary changes alongside medication, that's fine. But I really struggle with how triggering calorie counting is. But without tracking, I can't be sure I'm consistently in a calorie deficit. It's so frustrating!
@theofficialdrdanАй бұрын
Keep at it; you're doing great!
@sarahburrier9123Ай бұрын
@@theofficialdrdan Thanks! Do you have any tips for people like me, that find the whole calorie tracking thing to be very triggering? By triggering, I mean causes an almost immediate sense of deprivation and restrictions, which leads to anxiety and eventually overeating and/or bingeing. In the disordered eating realm, calorie counting is generally considered not an option because of this. And I certainly don't overeat as much,, or have the desire to overeat as much when I *don't* track. But then, I can accidentally get out of a deficit. Any advice?

I’m on my 3rd month of wagovy and have lost 10 lbs so far. The side effects I have are; sulfur burbs, constipation, bloating, and fatigue. Kind of wondering if it’s still worth taking it still. I’m 5’0” and was 200 lbs. I have arthritis in my feet and back due to my military service. Weight blew up after I left the service and the excess weight is causing so much pain. Also, I am a Type 2 diabetic. Thank you for your videos.

I lost for the first 6mons on ozempic - roughly 14lbs, but after the shortages, I lost nothing despite switching then to Rybelsus then Saxenda - the food noise came back with a vengence on Saxenda. I restarted wegovy in September 23 but had zero results despite being on the top dose. I swtiched in March 24 to Mounjaro and have been having results but am a super slow responder - 1-2lbs a month. I wouldn’t say I get appetite suppression but I do get relief from complete lack of food noise and binge urges. My starting weight was 190lbs and am now 160lbs with a goal of another 30lbs to go. I have never been diabetic but I know I am insulin resistant and also suffer from hypothyroidism. I pair it with keto/carnivore, kept weight lifting and have seen body composition changes which are not reflected on the scale. I’m just relieved not to be thinking about food all the time so will take that as a win.

Tirzepatide is Mounjaro and Zepbound, there is zero difference. Hyper responders respond the best. Women tend to respond better than men to these medications.
