I saw the Oak Ridge Boys a year ago at the Roanoke Rapids Theatre . They guys carried Joe out and sat him on a stool. He did his very best to do what he had done for 50 years. God Bless and RIP Joe.

My wife and I happened to drive past the Little Brown Church in the Vale while taking a leisurely return path after visiting relatives in Iowa. We stopped to admire the beautiful church. The pastor, who lives across the road, returned from a shopping trip shortly after we stopped. He walked over to show us the interior of the church. He kindly explained the history of the church, the history of the song, and the current popularity of the church for weddings. He even invited us to ring the beautiful bell!

If I am not mistaken, David is Lefty's son and not his brother. He sounds like Lefty and this sound is also prominent in the likes of so many of the icons of country music. Lefty had a heavy influence in Merle Haggard's music for example and you can't help but hear Lefty in his music.
