Paying tribute to the great Jimmy Capps

I didn’t know Jimmy Capps until I came across Larry’s Diner on KZbin. I then started noticing how many video’s he was playing in, and how many country singers he played along side. What a wonderful musician and gentleman he was. I particularly appreciated one of his red electric guitars, with a little American flag on it. My favorite was watching Randy Owens, Lady down on love”. I remember the joy and passion on Michelle’s face during that performance. From that moment, I was a fan. RIP Mr Jimmy Caps.

i am in tears.... I just found this beautiful place and it's like a big ole comfy couch you can fall right into. I love that man Jimmy. I'm a guitarist and I really didn't know much about him but I admired his playing. Seeing this video come up in my recommended list, I clicked thinking it was just a beautiful way to honor him for what he has done for the diner, then to find out he had passed away saddens me. God bless his family and friends and of course sweet Michelle. Praying God's peace over you guys today.

Love the show, loved Jimmy and love Michele Capps!! We are from Nashville and got to see Jimmy and Michele at the Opry many times. Never have been able to watch a taping of the show live although we have tried many times. We were hopeful the "real diner" would open, but that didn't happen. We were at the show when Jimmy was inducted to the Musicians Hall of fame at the Municipal Auditorium guessing 5 years ago. Also were at the Opryhouse the night Jimmy was indcted in the North Carolina musicians hall of fame. He was taken by surprise and humbled. We ARE fans of "the man, the myth the legend" Mr Jimmy Capps.. RIP sir. What a life well lived!! Loving you Michele. Sending virtual hugs to you and the family !

I worked as a studio musician (drmmer) in Nashville and saw a lot of tribute acts like Ronnie Prophet and The Country Kojak on Print'ers Alley in 1977. Like Branson, tribute acts will never end, even with ONE member of the orginal band. Hey, everyone is entitled to make money.
