Jimmy loved you too, Doyle. He loved getting to play with you, and he especially loved your heart and your faith in God. Thank you for this sweet tribute to my Jimmy, and for being such a dear friend to him, and to me. You are a special person, in addition to being an awesome musician. Thank you so very much for your prayers. I love you and your sweet family - Michele

Very nice recollections of Jimmy Capps. Jimmy had amazing technique, accuracy and taste on the guitar. I watched him not only on the Opry, but also on dozens and dozens of other TV programs over the years. I use to love it when they aired the 'Grand Old Opry' on Saturday nights and watching Jimmy, Leon and Spider. I was in awe of these monster pickers. Jimmy seemed to be a kind and gentle man. R.I.P. Jimmy. You'll never be forgotten.

Great, heartfelt comments and recollections of Jimmy Capps, thank you Doyle. I’m from the same county he hailed from but never got to meet him, unfortunately. I enjoyed his playing on Larry’s Country Diner. There’s another video of him interviewed about a year ago people should check out...he’s sitting outside the home he grew up in and joined by a couple of friends, Clyde Mattocks and Charlie Albertson, just reminiscing past times and Jimmy’s musical history. (“TOB Doc: A Conversation With Jimmy Capps”).

I'm new to this "scene" and I just totally fell in love with Jimmy a few months ago... little did I know he had passed away a few months prior to me finding Larry's Country Diner. Thank you Doyle... you are one of many that confirmed the incredible man we know as Jimmy Capps. The Lord's band has definitely been blessed and increased by Jimmy and while we will miss him, we trust and know that we'll see him again. in His name, God bless you brother

Thank you for that loving tribute. I first noticed Jimmy Capps just a few years ago; he seemed to be in just about every country video I watched. I didn’t know his name then but he sure caught my attention. As a beginner guitar player in my senior years (shoulda started before my left hand turned 70), I was impressed by just how easy he made it look! You too, my friend. I appreciate all you fellows.

Thank you Doyle for posting this update! Jimmy Capps was a very talented musician & could play any style with anyone! I have enjoyed his music since his early days on the Grand Ole Opry & later on TV with Larry's Country Diner. RIP Jimmy Capps

Sorry, I had never heard of Jimmy Capps, but send my condolences, and may I be so humble as to ask that, I am only hoping to see more of your guitar work for the same reason that you speak of in reference to him, such that you will be remembered as well. I love learning and admiring your playing that I've seen, but I don't see much of it in this format and can't afford to go to things such as the Grand ol' Opry. But Thank You. And I'll look into Jimmy Capps as well...😊

Rip Cousin Jimmy, I am truly saddened by his lost. I’m black Cherokee Indian my family was from North Carolina. I’ve never met Jimmy or my Capps family in person. I’ve watched Jimmy’s videos and love to hear him play the guitar 🎸. He’s my mother’s 2nd cousin it’s a shame that people sometimes don’t know their families. Regardless of race, I love all family not that Jimmy was a racist. But time is getting shorter and I would like to meet the other side of my face regardless of race. Why won’t they meet me ? It would be a blessing truly....
