The liquor and the bowl… he did get sober, say a prayer for his ongoing clean streak.

The man can just throw down a song he wrote on his phone and have more power than an over produced auto-tuned to hell garbage out there. This song is so powerful. Its real and it strikes a chord even if you aren't going through it. You feel his pain. Great react!

As a single self employed woman who drank everyday for decades to cope with life, whether 2 drinks or 10, this song tears me up evertime. God got me sober from drinking in 2020 bc he knew I needed to have a clear mind to see through ALL the lies and manipulation that our Politicians and media outlets were telling us. They want us divided bc if we all unite, we will take back our country. 🙏🇺🇸 It warms my heart to see 2 young men enjoy Oliver's music so much. Thank you❣️🙂

This one hits hard. I've been sober 6 years from alcohol and this reminds me of the vicious cycle of went through. I used ANYTHING for excuse to drink everyday and then ran out of excuses, so I just drank, period. My liver enzymes got so high, I was close to dying. Physician said if I didn't stop, I would die and THAT woke me up. Came home, poured it down sink and was sick for awhile, but then, I felt so much better and I was lucky cause I never craved it. I prayed i wouldn't and God heard me. If anyone reading this has problem, start with your doctor and go from there. Surround yourself with a good support system. God bless you always.

Turns out his real name is Christopher Anthony. Oliver Anthony was his grandfather and he named his music after him. He said his friends and family call him Chris. He's ok with Oliver too because so many people know him by that name already He turned down a multimillion dollar contract. Said he doesn't want tour busses or a jet, or 15 tractors, etc. He put a video out. He lives in a rv that he bought of Craig's list for $750 with a tarp over it. The man is legit. He's not going to be bought. He basically told the music industry to f off and they were part of the problem. Love it This song was recorded on his iPhone. He was struggling, like a lot of people do. Did y'all see yourselves on the video compilation of reactions on Benny Johnson's channel?

As an alcoholic I have to wean down off of it. Cold Turkey hurts all the way down in your bones bro. Once I was sober I was bored and all of the sudden days got really long. Like I had too much time in the evening. My hobby was drinking. It sucks and every day the temptation is there. Every. Damned. Day. I’ve been reading about therapy with psychedelics like Ketamine doing wonders for people. Nephew of my friend did it and he can’t quit talking about how much it helped him. There are some at home ketamine therapies for my fellow closet alcoholics. Check them out.

Going cold turkey is dangerous. My best friend tried it, and he ended up having a seizure from withdrawal. He went to a facility to detox. He ended up getting sober, but sadly relapsed. He went into the hospital for pancreatitis and never left. He was only 38, with a wife and child. Alcohol wrecked his body (and he hid his drinking like a hawk, extremely functional alcoholic), but not in a way that he had many symptoms until probably a year prior. Stay strong and keep pushing.

finding new hobbies that take your mind AND your body so that you can go to bed physically and mentally tired is important...whether it's volunteering, exercise, learning new skills and really focusing on mastering them....and don't forget investing time in the people that love you.

Dumb as it sounds I prayed that y'all can find a healthy alternative to alcohol. I hope y'all can enjoy a day off the juice, and then hopefully enjoy another day without it. My dad was arms reach from death in 2016 because of alcohol, then I followed his footsteps two years later and ended up in the hospital for a week. 1 drink is 1 drink, and usually leads to a few more. The withdrawals aren't fun, they don't feel good, and they can sometimes be really fuckin expensive because you spent a week in the hospital like my dumbass. Have a blessed day y'all.
