I think physical attraction is what typically bring people together, but its emotional/spiritual attraction that depeens the love thatr is why people can still love someone deeply even when the looks changes. Its also the same reason why people who started as strictly friends can fall in love even though they were initially not physically attracted to each other. Emotional attraction can indeed make people physically attracted to each other

Btw, I have been watching you guys since you started your channel 😆. 28 years into our marriage and now in our 50s, my husband and I have definitely changed over time. We were both quite slim, much like you both. In fact, I was extremely skinny-definitely not what my husband had in mind when it came to his “type,” as he always preferred someone light-skinned and curvier. I was a size 0 when we married, but now I’m a size 8, and whenever he looks at me, he marvels at how I’ve changed-he says he finally got exactly what he wanted! For me, it wasn’t love at first sight. I knew my husband was coming because God had told me, but when he entered my life, I wasn’t immediately attracted to him. I didn’t even notice how handsome or tall he was at first. I was so focused on my spiritual journey. You might as well put it as when God walked with Adam and Eve in the cool of the day. That was how we were, God and I 😃 -nothing else mattered! But for him, it was love at first sight, and to this day, I give all the glory to God. I had to actually ask God for permission to fall in love. It sounds funny, but it was that serious! Once I got that confirmation, everything changed. Like the veil was removed from my eyes so to speak 🤣. I suddenly saw how tall and handsome he was, and his voice-it made me melt. I’ve never fallen for a man like that, and I truly believe it’s because I asked God for guidance that our love became so extraordinary. We’re still inseparable. Very beautiful and relatable story. There is something with focusing your eyes only on Jesus. When the right man God has for you comes around, it's like you have been in a deep sleep enjoying your singleness without any issue. Suddenly you get awaken and your eyes open widely and realize you were/have been single that whole time without even noticing. It's lime a switch gets turn on and you realize your singlessness and the need to have a man as a husband. But then you really wanna know if God approves that man and whether to go forward with accepting him. He will tell you and the answers will be there. Such a beautiful moment and process. Looks for guys cannot be non-negotiable,the reason is, women tend to change a lot after they start childbearing. I have been married for 13, with 3 beautiful kids, my last child, a girl, is 7 already. So I speak from a point of experience. I used to have a very close friend of mine in the university, she was so slim, she would pass for tiny, but as soon as she gave birth to her first, she became as Madam Saje (yoruba actor). That's something she obviously can no longer work on. I knew another friend that had tiny chest, bus as soon as she became a mother, she is as busty as hell, like going from 32 to 44. Therefore, whoever hot married to them, if they had considered looks, should we say, divorce them? Nope. Negotiable for men should be thr physical things, while I go completely with your wife on are non-negotiables....she spoke so well.

African parents don't care about looks, I used to date someone I was really attracted to, my parents called her all sort of names, they were even head strong that she had had a child before, and body enhancement surgery, LOL. This matter...hmmm...easier said than done. Dont even think of looks as non negotiable.. like , as as how???. Aside from height, looks is one sure variable that is bound to change, even for both men and women. I have been in this for over 3 decades, with 5 Soldiers of Christ, and gained just 5kg all these years. Almost always, when people see me for the first time, they think my last child is my first. I have never liked fat, so am grateful to God. But my husband, with normal good looking physique back then, is full all over. Face, belly, neck and every where... At times, am like how did I end up with this. We have disagreed about this several times, and unfortunately he doesnt care how his looks make me feel. Now, I just try not to think about it, and focus on the better part.. If you get it, thank God, if not, let God take control.. Except the Lord build the house....

Anything can happen to looks, but by then the looks must have done it's job which is to get me interested enough to see other traits about you that'd would make me fall in love with your personality/person. Bare women moving with great personalities without good looks, they don't get the chance because the eyes that are beholding them isn't convinced. The use of the looks is akin to that of a resume, it's to get you through the door(get approached), your interviewing skills(personality) gets you the job(a chance at marital bliss)
