Nice! One of my rockhound friends spends his summers in those quarries, splitting rocks, and then he spends the winters at his sandblasting bench, preparing the fossils for sale. He takes them to Tucson, and usually sells everything he has. He's entertaining in winter, since everything in his workspace gets covered in white dust from all the sandblasting, even though the sandblasting workbench is sealed, in theory. When he stopped by my shop to visit, he was usually covered in white dust, a bit like the "pigpen" character in the Charlie Brown cartoons. 😊

Must you split rocks there? I'd be spending the 8 hours loading a trailer and vehicle with 5 or 6 tons depending on the road, maybe more. I couldn't hammer that long in a stretch and still be able to drive home anyway.
