Amazed at how much detail he remembers. Hundreds of players he recruited and remembers so much about each one.

Lived in Oklahoma ‘83-84, really enjoyed the Switzer days of running the football and great defense. He’s a great man, love these stories.

Greatest College Football recruiter ever. The man dug through a trash can to see what type of beer a recruits dad drank then arrived with a 6 pack. Lol. Called Billy Sims at halftime while Billy listened to the game and spent the whole 20 minutes on the phone telling Billy that could be him running the ball for OU...... Love the man

I remember a story about Coach Switzer wanting Earl Campbell and Campbell went to Tex@ss. Campbell said that he wanted to go to OU, Coach Switzer said, "If I'd known that, I'd be under his bed singing Boomer Sooner to him all night."

Who was this merv coach he’s talking about?
@kevbomevbo34923 жыл бұрын
Merv Johnson was one of his assistants. He used to, maybe still does, do color commentary on the OU radio games.
