I've had the honor of helping to reclaiming a pioneer-era cemetery near my home that had been neglected for decades. Once we cleared the 8' tall weeds we were able to find old records and map out the graves. (We also found out that a local church owned the cemetery and they have now taken over the maintenance. They are doing a great job!) Sadly, we think that several of the graves are now under a Taco Bell parking lot, but the 100 or so we did find are once again a part of the official history of our city. Everyone deserves to be known. Thank you, Robert, for restoring history and inspiring others to do the same..

Good work. It does look much better. The PHd you earned on the OBF cutting and clearing pays off again. I miss your vests, shirts and hats though. I guess the Jeep and several other things changes the landscape. I have been with you on both channels day one. Hanging on to and with you to see what is coming down the video pike. Morphing and change is the way life goes. Lets go! 👍👍❣❣️

An 'Old Stock' Loyalist CanUk I grew up visiting 'rural' graves in 'Gaspie Bay, led there by family who loved their kin and told stories of the interesting ghosts being visited. Some were Anglo-Scots, some Irish-Acadians. Followed all, with dedication, back in time typically to 1600s. Know them. Know some very well thaanks to archives and their remarkable life experiences. Visiting these graves and others, is now like visiting old friends, I'll be joining in time. Hope the records preserved, encourage other visits

I've been subscribed since early 2017. You've got just the right manner and personality to do this. You're fun to hang out with. I'm so glad you enjoy being a content creator. You're excellent at it.😊 It's so nice of your mom to sort thru stuff at the OBF. I bet she enjoys it, too. I wish her the very best of luck in her treasure hunting! Great that yout cut down some of those evassive sweet gums, which also grow a LOT in North carolina as welll . The cemetery grounds looks so much better with all those sweet gums down, but why I do NOT like battery powered chain saws, cause 1} extra batteries cost money, and a loot of them are expensive! 2} weather related, in cold weather, they die faster and do not hold a charge..for what you pay in batteries alone can get a good gas powered chain saw, and cut in all kinds of weather. But seriously the grounds are looking really nice.. Great job Robert.

Did you ever chew sweet gum sap with Clark Clove gum? My grandmother used to take me on nature hikes in the 1950s in SE Arkansas. It looks so good with all your cleanup!😊 Glad you avoided the rattlesnake.

@THEOLDBYRDFARMVLOG15 күн бұрын
In the past we have been able to identify burials in unmarked graves via death certificates. So if they specific they were buried in this cemetery vs the one that adjoins it, it is possible. Of course it would only be a known burial, we wouldn’t know which grave was which still.

Hi Robert. You are doing a great job. Guess I’ve seen all your videos on this channel during all this years. Thank you herefor 🙏 It is difficult to choose the impressions you will show on all your divers channels. Personally I like all the things around the buildings and gardening on the Old Byrd Farm. How much change is going on each time, is why I watch this channel and I dont bother if there is no posting all week. The old cars restaurations and other videos sutch as the cementrys cleanups I’m not very intresstet in. Maby you could start a separat car cannel? I understand that its your passion helping the community and friends that is admirable and very kind of you ❤ Have a bright wintertime, enjoy what you do and take care.🎄

@MillerMeteor7415 күн бұрын
Maybe you mentioned it in the first video, but I don't remember. Is that cemetery surrounded by logging lands?
@artillerest43rdva715 күн бұрын
that is the down fall of lithium /Ni cad / Ni metal hydride batteries, the cold drains them quicker, if you can keep them warm, they will last a longer time. heat it not as much of an issue, below 100’F above that can cause damage. the wedge cut out helps them clear obstacles, and more momentum to fall to the ground. the farm has made a ton of of progress, the floors are doing great! nice and flat plus support weight safely. great job, be safe using the chain saw.
