Thanks David you're right we are best friends and spend most of our time together. We haven't been able to get out fishing between losing our place at Suwannee and rough weather on the east coast. We did try to get out Monday but lost our steering about 15 miles out (hydraulic). I managed to get us back to the marina and lost it completely about 20 feet from the ramp, we were lucky because it was starting to get rough offshore. We want to use our new rods, they're on a rack in our bedroom so I see them every day lol. We'll be checking the mail. Thanks again for Watching our videos we appreciate it.

My husband and I really enjoy watching your videos. We love fishing & crabbing. Unfortunately we don’t get to do it quite as often. My husband was somewhat excited about your new crab net, and I’m hoping you can give us a little more info about it. I have been trying to locate it, but boy are there a gazillion nets on the market. Thanks. 😊
@TheOldCoupleOutdoorsАй бұрын
Our son bought the net for me for father's day, he got it from Amazon. I think the brand is LOINLIY, it has a carbon fiber handle and works great for crab and fish on piers, I still use a standard crab net on lower docks. I changed out the net part to a Davesun 15.75" net (also from Amazon) because I wanted to save the rubber coated net for trout fishing in Colorado. Thanks for Watching

Hey y'all. I'm Joe in Biloxi. Enjoy your videos. I was just thinking that if you crushed one of those crab bodies and put it on a hook, chances are you'd catch a big 'ol redfish. But, maybe that would get in the way of you catching all those crab. Happy Anniversary!

Hi Sam and Joyce, is there anything that you guys don’t excel at. You are great crabbers and now I see you are a pro with that cast net. I’ve never had any luck casting my net. Did the mullet have any roe in their gut? I can’t remember if the season for their roe is in August or December. I would love to cure the roe and make it into botarga. Well, May God bless the both of you and always keep you both safe in your travels❤. I’m still looking for good crabbing spots in Naples but nobody will share their secret spots 😮
@TheOldCoupleOutdoorsАй бұрын
Thanks, No roe in the mullet we caught. Try crabbing around the boat ramps if you have any around you that aren't very busy also if there are any parks on the water close to you. Thanks for Watching
@908whwy90Ай бұрын
Always enjoy your videos. Can you share the name brand and a little info on that net with extending handle. Never seen one like that.
@TheOldCoupleOutdoorsАй бұрын
My son bought me that net for Father's Day, he got it from Amazon. I think the brand is LOINLIY, I changed out the rubber net that came with it for a Dovesun 15.75" net also from Amazon. The net works great for when you're fishing or crabbing from a high pier (light weight carbon fiber handle), when we're closer to the water we use a standard crab net.

no need for egg in the crab cake as mayo has egg in it. i only use mayo and no egg when i make crab cakes. adding butter can make them fall apart, but wow, i was nearly drooling watching you try them. lol
@TheOldCoupleOutdoorsАй бұрын
Gail, we used whatever we could round up, we had leftover butter from when we went out to dinner and they gave us some extra crackers for the cracker crumbs. They were crude but very good. We also had some packets of mustard that we could have used. It's fun cooking like that.
