I can't start my day until I watch your vids. I too own a 55 that my Dad bought me to restore. I have been working on it for seven years. Also got a 4 door to restore that I'm going to give to my wife of 29 years. My channel is still small subscriber wise but you and your channel are truely an inspiration to me to keep trying. God Bless SRC family. The rowing gears part was a flashback to riding with my uncle in 1977 with his gold 55 2 door hard top with a 427 and 4 speed.

Bill, from a guy who is 57, and been divorced since 1998, and whose parents and sister moved to another state back in the 80's, I nearly brings me to tears to see who how much you understand the REAL value of family, and how special is REALLY is that you and all your family members not only still have each other, and how much it REALLY means to have grown up in an area and all the same things that had so much meaning to you in younger years are still there and how much our fondness for those things and places grows as we get older. If they have a lot of meaning to you know, just wait another 10 years. I can assure you that you will become more nostalgic as you grow older. I'm the only person in my family who stayed in my home town all these years. I never left. I had been driving back and forth from Jackson TN to Memphis TN every day to work for the last 8 years, 87 miles each way. On March 20th the vast majority of 1800 people started working from home. I was fortunate to be able to do that. But at the same time, it's very isolating. I think for that reason, in the evenings after work, I started taking a drive around town, to the neighborhoods where I grew up and where I've lived over the years. So many memories have come flooding back. It's brought back a lot of happy memories, but it's also brought back a lot pain and reminders of what I've lost, both in my divorce, and also with my parents and sister having moved out of state. I hope you never lose your love for the familiarity of home and family. There's simply no substitute for it. I know it wasn't all about cars, but this is my favorite of all the videos you've done since you started the channel a few weeks ago (and I've been watching them all since you started the channel). I hope you aren't changed by the recognition that is coming your way from the popularity of your channel. You are living the life I regret having lost 22 years ago. Always cherish it. It means even more than you know. God bless.

I know you guys got me wanting to build a car and taking it racing, my wife said she’d even drive it, I can’t afford to go to jail due to my job, but she said she didn’t mind lol. I'm a year younger than you an have found a lot of joy watching your family. Unfortunately my wife an I have been together 20 yrs now an as hard as we tried a family wasnt in the cards. Our daughter passed away at 2yrs old an we never seemed to be able too have another. I wasted a large part of my life feeling sorry for myself i guess youd say.only the last 2or3 years I've started to live again. I lost my brother to suicide my mom too cancer an my father too a senseless car accident all In about a 5yr stretch when I was about 20. I love watching your videos it reminds me of happier times when I was a kid growing up an reminds me that my life still has a lot to offer. Anyway, thanks, thanks for reminding me there are still people out there that care about family an what really is important. I wish the had event over here on the east coast like they do out there in the mid west. My car is far from the same class as what you guys are but I'm getting there. Maybe get the chance to meet ya one day even take care an keep reminding me every day that life isnt over at 46 lol.

The life you have with you and your family is way cool, and you remembering to count your blessings makes it all the better. As a single man I used to help on a dirt sprint car team, following that car around meeting some of the most awesome people I have ever met in my life, those years were the best. No one in my family is really into the racing so I have let it slide for the past almost 20 years and miss it. Having something you can all do together has to be over the top.

You’ve got all of us fans for several reasons but I think the biggest thing is you’re relatable to the rest of us normal heart of America type people. There’s so much crap on tv of celebrities that wouldn’t know reality and hard times if it slapped them in the face. You’re also an awesome dad so that’s definitely inspiring to me even though I have a daughter I want people to see my relationship with her like it is with you and your boys from the outside looking in. I also do the same kind of work that you do every day and it’s all I’ve really ever known outside a little farming and baling hay. I’ve always just been a spectator to racing but I hope one day that I’ll have a truck that I can daily comfortably and still be fast because that seems kind of rare.

I struggle with my sons making big messes in the shop too. I get angry when I have to do a bunch of cleanup before I can start working on something. Ha ha. But you're right, family is very important and I have to remind myself that I'm glad they are out there working on a project because somewhere along the line, maybe they learned to fix something because I was out there fixing something at one time or another. Like my dad said years ago, there's worse things than a messy shop. So I'm trying to see the good in it. I want my boys to always know they can make a mess in the shop whenever they want. They're my family. Keep your light on Bill. You have a wonderful family. Your faith in Christ is very encouraging. Please keep the videos coming, as I so look forward to seeing them.

New Subscriber here -- Why has your channel taken off so well? Because you are so real and genuine, with no false front, and no pretending. Plus you are so knowledgeable. Love you guys. Plus you love your family members about as much as anybody could. And do you know what? I think I'm getting back into hot rodding. I did a '72 Vega wagon back in the 1980s - small block, manual tranny, subframe, 9 in Ford rear end w/ ladder bars, six point roll bar, centerline wheels, bright red with black Vega GT stripes. and yes, as the Beach Boys used to sing, I got rubber in in all the gears. As you say in your video here, "That never gets old." Then I stupidly sold my hot rod not long after it was all purdy, to have a down payment on a mini-van. Oh well. But my new car will be better. Maybe drag race a little, maybe street race a little, but mainly to have something fun to drive, and to go to car shows and rod runs. I'm 69 years old going on about 25, widowed, and retired Air Force. Most of my Vega build was done not far from you in Ohio, as I was stationed at Wright-Patterson, from '82-85.

Your exactly right about divorce. It’s so common and the kids are the ones that suffer it messes them up because when you lose all those assets you have nothing to pass down. Like me my ex wife sold all my stuff and my father’s. Those things to help give you that boost in life. It’s hard starting over for sure. Now everyone is dealing with covids kids anymore have a weird world to grow up it. Wish it would go back to the 80’s lol.

I’m from a small town in Ohio. The 90’s those was great times. I remember leaving the doors unlocked to the house keys in the Ignition. Not anymore. I don’t know if it’s there is more drugs. But I do know it’s the generations. There is no structure in divorce families a lot of the times kids are second because the parents are worried about making there 2nd marriage work. So there not getting showed how to act or what to do in life. Idk. I could go on and on.

I think a big reason there is so much interest is the father son relation ship and the family values. I lost my dad back in 2016 and my parents divorced in 92 when I was young so I hardly saw him till I was 18 I thought we had alot more time together to do projects etc but I was wrong. The cars are a bonus for me. In this world today there is a breakdown of the family unit and dads just aren't what they used to be. The farm and open county is great. I'm sure there are alot of people who feel just like me. Thanks for sharing.

Good stuff Bill...I'm a southern transplant living in Silver Valley N.C....I love the simple country life and dragracing is my drug...y'all remind me about growing up in Cecil County Md. We have a pretty well known facility that's been around forever it seems, Cecil County Dragway...I lived a good portion of my misspent youth there...gets in your blood...y'all remind me of some of the family teams that still roll there on weekends...y'all take care on your trip...good luck...

Great intro, well done. Another really good video. Love hearing the history and stories about your home town and family. Nothing more fun than rowing the gears in a rowdy Tri5!

Keep your light shining. God is always in control. I came for the education and stayed for the family. Keep up the great videos.

I can only speak for myself. I love your channel because its real, informative and quite honestly your family values that are not common these days. Kinda like Mayberry, Waltons, and Little House on the prairie with Dukes of Hazzard mixed in. Lol

Everything you said about family and keeping the faith in God is important, especially in these times. We need more of these values spread to others that have never experienced or witnessed such a lifestyle. The foundation and continuation of those two things plays a special role, it’s what holds this world together in so many ways that some people will never understand. 🙏🏼🇺🇸
