Yes, I over analyze the show and yes I know supposed to be a comedy.

@@TheDonOfEverything Yeah, Lucifer and Lilith clearly shelted Charlie. That's why she has this overly positive perspective when it comes to redemption. She knows how sinners suffer and she wants nothing but to help. She concluded that, if a soul is redeemed, they can go to Heaven and, in this way, counter Hell's overpopulation and so call off the extermination. The problem is that Charlie, because she was shelted, has no idea how redemption can be achieved.

i think charlie is a character who is supposed to not know what she's doing but that makes sense because she will barely understand sinners despite her compassion and kindness. Firstly, she never lived as humans. Secondly, she is stuck in hell where she can't find the answer to redemption because it's hard to find morality in hell and nobody believes redemption is possible so never tried before. Third, like one of the comments here, she is probably sheltered by her parents and then lilith went missing for mysterious reasons and lucifer rarely make contacts with her.(the reason why is shown in ep 5 so i cannot spoil it) It will be like child trying to ride a bike but nobody teaches her how to do it so she makes mistakes constantly throughout the series. However her method can work on sir pentious because all he needed was forgiveness and kindness which rarely exists in hell. She will have hard time understanding angel dust's situation though which again is relevant to this season so i can't tell. Charlie'a va said charlie's flaws are intended by writers and vivziepop and she is supposed to be a character who grows mentally in the series so i'm quite looking forward to that.

The pentagram is Pentagram city in Pride, like Imp city. So far Viv has not in canon addressed why sinners cannot take the elevators to other rings of hell. There are great details in the show, you can pause and read the code on Vox's face when Alastor hacks him during the song.

As someone not really religious, I appreciate commentary like this by people like you. While I'm sure plenty exist both as content creators and casual Hazbin fans they don't get heard much. A religious person who can analysis a show like this while remembering its just for entertainment and not go on a rant that like pokemon, yoga, and apparently I think something about coffee will all send enjoyers to hell for being into it. Ty for being the vocal unicorn of spiritual reviewing.

I love this comment so much. I started reviewing this originally for people in my support group that I run. As of now I am just glad people like it without getting upset as I am not here to upset anyone. I consider everyone friend naivety yes but, I think every person is great just the way they are.

@@TheDonOfEverything I'm really glad your group convinced you to do it. I look forward to seeing your Hellaverse videos everyday. I absolutely love taking these shows apart theologically myself (It's part of how I cope with my religious trauma as a person of faith). So it's fun to see someone else do the same thing (although our theology is definitley different, as I'm protestant).

@@emilyd7713 I am non-denominational now. I went over this before but, I called out a group of Priests on being Hypocritical. Defending a man on the verge of suicide. Later on they invited me back though. I returned but, refuse to teach their values anymore.

Listen, I feel you about Charlie, she is very hard to love on the first watch, because you can immediately think of at least one better choice she could meke. But all of her stupid ideas are just her trying to figure out what to do for the very first time. She doesn't have guidance or a degree in psychology. She doesn't know how to help people, she's pulling ideas out of thin air and hoping something works. She didn't really consider how her little skit might hurt Angel with the jabs at what he is, for example, choosing to focus on sir Pentious instead. That was.... not the best choice. But she's genuinely trying her best. Sadly, without really understanding the complications of trying to help messed up people, because she has zero experience. Thanks to this though, we now have confirmation that Angel does want to change, even if he says it's stupid. And Charlie has a second resident, who seems to respond well to her kindness. That's a win for the cause and the hotel - they both have the potential to change. The established conflict between Vox and Alastor was a cool way to introduce the Vs. (Vox, Valentino, and Velvet) and tell us there's beef between the overlords of Hell. It's not directly related to the hotel, sure, but it expands the world of the series and sets up potential enemy number 2 ( First one being Adam, obviously ) As a side note I honestly don't understand how you can hate Stolas when he's just a sad gay man in a loveless marriage with an abusive wife who screams at him on a daily basis. You can tell she does because Via asks "Are you two done screaming for the day" (in Loo Loo Land) - the cheating was just an excuse to scream some more on her part. For him cheating's a byproduct of her behavior towards him. He just gave up on trying and took the opportunity to have some fun. He even tried to explain to Via that the two of them were never in love to begin with but trailed off because he realized how harsh that would sound, considering they had her. He's trying very hard to be a good father.

Yeah, so long as we can discuss, it's all good. I just have a lot of empathy for the owl boy. He has flaws obviously, but hopefully you can see why things are the way they are for both Stolas and Blitz as you keep watching.

The Vees' servant that looks like Fizzarolli... Well, that's actually one of his robot replicas that Mammon, the Sin of Greed, mass produces (with the reluctant cooperation of Asmodeus) and sells them around for all demons in all of rings of Hell. Just another way of cleverly connect Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss without actually making a cross-over.

The reason why Vox is dressed as a clergyman during his vocal clash with Alastor and has Obey-n-Pay written underneath during his appearance in this costume is a reference to Vox's past which was during his lifetime a sect guru in the 1950s. It is surely from this past that his hypnotic powers are inspired. We can also see during this episode that unlike Alastor, Vox evolves over time and updates itself. Indeed, it is possible to see on the desk from where Val and Vox observe the actions of Alastor and the hotel a framed photo of Vox and Valentino where Vox had a cathode ray screen instead of a flat screen. Valentino had his two antennas while he is missing one now. In another register, the Vees (Velevett, Valentino, Vox) are all three overlords linked to the media, Velvett for social networks, Vox for television and Valentino for the adult film industry. If Vox had managed to convince Alastor to join them, they would have been in control of all the media in Hell. In this episode, we also see the entirely demonic form of Alastor which does not fail to recall a Wendigo, a canibal creature resembling an emaciated hybrid between man and deer. Finally, for the workers that Alastor summons, they are either demons whose soul Alastor holds and whom he invokes and makes work at his convenience, or creations resulting from his powers of shadow control (in any case, this are the theories of the community).

My theory about the reason sinner demons can't live Pride is because Pride is the root of all sins. It was Pride the sin that guided humanity when they got free will. So it makes sense that sinners are only restricted to Pride, where they can suffer for all eternity (which is the all point of Hell for sinners), instead of reveling on the pleasures that exist on the other rings (like Gluttony and Lust). Also (and this is just an observation)... if sinner demons were able to leave Pride and go to the other rings, the exorcists wouldn't be able to do their job as efficiently as they do. After all, the Pride Ring is the upmost level of Hell, since you can actually see Heaven from there. If sinners were able to leave Pride, the exorcists would need to go after them, not to mention try to difference sinners from hellborn, something they most likely wouldn't even care about and kill all demons alike, what would render the pardon Lucifer got for the hellborn kind pointless.

I like to see the vees as embodiement of the social issues that come from technology. Vox is a literal TV not for nothing, he represent the power media has over our lifes, manipulating our perception of reality (that’s why he hypnotizes people), so yeah he has a lot to do with propaganda. Velvette may perfectly represent the influence of trends, social media, jealousy and comparisons (if you notice in the next episode she always changes outfit and hairon every appearance ). And of course, Valentino would be the porn industry being a pimp. Really glad you’re enjoying the show btw! It certainly has its flaws and things that could’ve been better, i appreciate all the constructive criticism

I have a feeling you may be ultimately disappointed with the show because I don't think it is going to be what you expect it to be. While the show has a more defined plot than Helluva Boss, it is still predominantly focused on characters and character interactions. The plot serves more as a mechanism to explore the characters than to tell a story.

Maybe other than the man we'll find further redemption. However, with a possible 8ep run time i struggle to see how well that can be done in s2 if the Vs are to be more prevalent. (I like the concept, but there is simply not enough time to commit to it properly, and include other character plots that could disrupt it. That's where HB's mostly unrestricted runtime shines, it can take it's time to flesh things out)

7:20 Valentino more spanish. He knows many languages. He is that dude whos ascent you can't catch. I'm not an expert on Spanish immigrants who speak many European languages, so not sure where he's from

How it had nothing to do with the premise, the premise of the show is charlie trying to help the sinners to be reedem so they can go to the heaven that's what we're seeing I don't know what are you seeing.
