This is an incredibly anti-christian and pagan film. The dragons have the names of actual demons, i.e. pagan gods, for one.

@@saddenedwiseman810 I'm so glad that the Church isn't being blinded by vain words and doctrines of devil's concealed in entertainment. This movie, as beautiful as the imagery was, is pagan. It is actually overwhelmed with esoteric philosophies and new age teachings of Unity. Nothing is good about this movie. And there is absolutely nothing Christian about it either. Please seek the Lord and His wisdom. We are living in a critical time where understanding and love for the scripture is imperative.

Maybe I just read my worldview into everything, but I see Christ typology everywhere in movies - self sacrifice, super-human salvation, the existence and ultimate victory of goodness and justice, the depravity of humans, etc. People really need Jesus and they can't help but express that, even if they don't know they are doing it.

The only problem I had was that Namaari tried to blame Raya for all the problems without taking enough responsibility herself. Yes, Raya was too trusting of Namaari in the beginning, but just because Raya made it easy to be betrayed, doesn't mean that the person who did betray her is blameless. Raya should forgive Namaari, but that doesn't mean Raya has to trust her. Forgiveness is not the same as trust. When you forgive someone, you're not saying what they did was ok, you're not agreeing with them, you're not forgetting what happened, you are letting Jesus pay for someone else's sin against you, and letting them be responsible for their actions. Once you forgive someone you do not even have to carry on a relationship with them. It's like someone steals something important from you. Jesus pays for what has been stolen by dying on the cross. But if someone stole something from you, even if it has been payed for, you don't need to let them keep stealing just because Jesus is paying for it anyways.

Word from the wise. Can you not see how Ha’Satan is at work with this movie. Some of you 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (the name given to Moses) may have shown how this movie’s release date aligned with a sign in revelation. Some of you are not ready for that. Nevertheless Ha’Satan is trying to paint himself as the good guy (the dragon) and make you think that all we must do is forgive and makes no effect the commandments of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄. What did our messiah say “ Think not that I am come to destroy the Torah(law), or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For amein I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one Yod or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the Torah, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the Kingdom of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 : but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the Kingdom of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 .” MATTITHYAHU (MATTHEW) 5:17-19 . What did his brother say “ What does it profit, my brethren, though a man say he has belief, and have not works? can belief save him? If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what does it profit? Even so belief, if it has not works, is dead, being alone.” YA`AQOV (JAMES) 2:14-17 . When we break scripture down to its themes alone we allow a entrance for the lies of Ha’Satan. Remember 99.6% truth and 0.4% a lie is a lie. Yes the need for forgiveness is a key theme in scripture. It allows us to repair relationships, it is not only how our relationship with 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 is repaired but also a trait our father has. However never be deceived to believe that is it. “ Here is the patience of the qodeshiym (saints): here are they that guard את eth-the commandments of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 , and את eth-the belief of messiah OW𐤉𐤄𐤅 .” CHIZAYON (REVELATION) 14:12 . Never forget it is about the faith in the messiah AND keeping the commandments.

Thanks for the video. Glad that someone else also sees that Raya and the Last Dragon could be interpreted from a Christian lens. Namaari reminds me of both Edmund Pevensie and Prince Zuko rolled into one character. The other characters led by Raya extending grace to her even when she was their enemy reminds us about how Christ has extended grace to us even though humanity is sinful and undeserving. This film also allows Kelly Marie Tran to play to her strengths as an actress.

Wow, I don't know how this video got into my recommend but I am a born again believer that saw something totally different. This didn't have christian themes...this was a story laced with heavy universalist themes and eastern mysticism which will help usher in the one world religion of unity as seen in Rev 13. Be careful not to let a little leaven into the loaf. Or to allow fantasy to carry you away from the Gospel. Movies are perfect vehicles to introduce ideals that are separate from God and his purpose. Trust God over man. Stay sober and vigilant.

I agree. Usually I'm not the type to look deep into themes (I should though) but I felt uneasy, something felt off and I think it was the Holy Spirit giving me a nudge. It gave me one world vibes (like it warns in Revelations), humanistic views and all about the power within self. Satan is the best at deception and makes something sound good but really he deceives us by twisting truth. Yeah unity sounds good and so does self empowerment but the enemy twists that by edging God out of the picture. But I really don't know the behind the scenes so this is just what I thought. In the end, we just need to be sensitive to God's voice and renew our minds in His word so we are aware of the truth. 😊❤️

You got one crucial truth wrong. It was not the "external righteousness" that saved them. Because they even said that the "magic was gone", and that they could do what the dragons were capable of too; and that it was trust that was going to save them at the end. That part of the movie where they decide to forgive and trust Nammari (who represents the part of ourselves that we hate) was meant to paint a picture of our internal battle within ourselves. They even said in this scene: "after what she's done", "we'll never trust her". Which is meant to represent the inner dialog within ourselves when we reject aspects of ourselves; because we falsely believe in the guilt that we carry; which is the cause of suffering. Ultimately our reality is a reflection of our internal self. How you treat others, the amount of suffering you experience, is a reflection of how you see yourself. Once one realizes that the doer, and the doing is an illusion; and that noone is guilty. One can let go, forgive, and trust.

There’s no denying this was a pretty solid movie in terms of entertainment, structure and storytelling. However, as a Christ follower, I’m gonna go out on a limb and say this movie was the Book of Revelation told through the eyes of Satan. Disney and Hollywood have no interest in Giving Glory to Jesus Christ, instead they are using counterfeit modernist motives to seduce many Christians today.. I may be reading too much into this, but here goes.. SPOILER ALERT: This film features many Biblical themes from The Tower of Babel and the dividing of nations, to events in the Book of Revelation. Dragon Worship, The Dragon manifesting into a human and performing all sorts of signs, wonders and miracles (Anti-Christ and False Prophet), The Dragon also received a ‘Deadly Wound’ yet lived, Raya The Woman in Scarlet who rides the Dragon (Mystery Babylon), In the end, everyone is United with the promise of ‘Peace and Safety’ in their new ‘Paradise’ without the All Consuming Fire (God). There’s just too many coincidences to overlook these elements, but what do I know I’m just a guy with a Bible.. 😜

That's a way to look at it but I saw a whole lot of dragoon worship. The dragons looked like the 'saviours' and looked all good. I bet the serpent that beguiled Eve looked and acted all good. I will not let my kids watch this as a Christian parent. I don't know why every other belief system is ok in movies except Christianity. If there's worship going on and it's not to Jesus then it's an ok movie? I don't think so.

I was listening to sermons and testimonies on KZbin and I stumbled on this video, and I saw the movie, after watching the movie, God stopped talking to me for 3 days. Nothing. Not a word from Him, then my friend was telling me how the Lord convicted her of watching movies blah blah blah (that is why you need a small group & spiritual friends), and in that moment I felt convicted too, and I repented for watching this movie, and the Lord started talking to me like before. Long comment ahead😁. I remember I watched another guy review this movie and how I was convinced when he said that the forgiveness of the "villain" was supposed to be instigated by said villain and that she basically had to earn it from Raya by doing deeds that proved to be sincere. And I just remember agreeing so much with the message. And now you appear on my recommendation page and it just felt like an appointment. I realise that the Christian faith is not the kind that counters but one that instigated righteousness and godliness. If we wait for people to earn our forgiveness, it doesn't make it godly at all. In fact that's too easy. And we know Jesus never chose easy. So thank you for your video. I really appreciate it.

@@carlabythelake8162 well, the message in general goes parallel with the current false message in the real world rn. In this movie, a girl gets baptized and is in a journey to "unite" everyone together (Jesus preached the complete opposite at the start of his ministry. He preached division. You have the just and unjust, by faith alone.), this girl, ironically is being helped by a dragon.. To promote this message. The movie deals with sin as well, everyone is sinful and are blinded by sin, their hearts are literal stone as seen in the movie and as spoken by Ezequiel in the Old Testament. Etc etc. Id use this channel to counter the lies of the world with the truth of the gospel and not really admire the world or agree with it, i would try to make it clear how God story is different than the one Satan is displaying. Though, its not my channel so it's not my call. Also, it's not wrong to watch these movies of course... I think it's highly unlikely that children, who are the intended audience of this film, will come away thinking that they have just seen a film that presents Christian theology, albeit in a whimsical fantasy. I don't know enough about the making of this movie, but my only thoughts are concern that this might have been "accidentally on purpose" a form of westernizing a non-european/american story by writers who are influenced by the effect christianity has had on western thought and the movie isn't as reflective of the southeast asian cultures it is otherwise representing, while also not actually being christianity... Other than that, I love stories like this that incorporate themes of forgiveness that I can see parallel my love for the story of Jesus. I think that's awesome, I just hope it wasn't something that overrode what the story these cultures might have wanted to tell themselves, though I also don't think Jesus is actually western, so I also love to see how other cultures interpret Jesus' story outside of the european context I'm used to.

@@kalig.4982 Kali you really sound so kind and lovely, and I totally mean it. Thank you for taking the time to answer me. i completely understand your point and trust me, I’ve tried all that but only Jesus could save me. I had no loving father but God showed himself to me as a loving father, and dont worry I no longer feel guilty or ashamed I know I am not perfect and Jesus still takes me as I am and helped me see myself as he does, wonderful and loved. He gave me a beautiful freedom. And its just that I am so happy, I want everyone else to feel the same as I do (free and loved) 😊but I totally get your point and I thank you for your genuine concern. I wish you all the best🌸 and maybe we’ll get across another comment in another video🤭🌸

@@TheLuchinita i am sorry to disturb your peace..but i think honesty its most (or more) important. (Honest is far more important then being nice) If you have a young daughter in a relationship with a older man. And this man told her ..she is evil and a sinner, and she wrong from birth..and she will only be good if she worship him..otherwise he will torture her for eternity. And she tells you is happy like she never was before and what a great guy he is.. You would call the police and a psychologist..because this in a cult, he is an abuser and she suffers from stockholms syndrom. You did have a really bad life and that its truly sad..and of cause you most find a way to cope with that..but a lie (or an abusive relationship with with an evil deity..like this god is discribed in its book) should not be the way. That is only reliving the old patterns a abusive father..only this one is a fantasy thou you can please his narcissitic demands.

Dragon worshipping.... That's in Revelation. The Beast gets his power from the dragon. Satan's system of entertainment is brainwashing people to focus on the dragon instead of the Lamb.

When I first started learning just how different forms of media was being used to set up that system I was blown away. Now I can’t stop seeing it, and that is good.

Isn’t the dragon 🐉 in the Bible satan? 😑 this movie is just giving it character not to mention it’s Disney who is known to have subliminal messages and dark secrets.

I thought I was the only one thinking like this. I don't see how he thinks this is "good." The dragon is being made to be the savior, just like in Dr. Dolittle (Robert Downey Jr version)

I don't think it's meant to be anything as bad as it is in Christian teachings. Other cultures in Asia view those creatures differently, I'm not sure from which nation in south-east Asia they were taking their specific inspiration from . But they were trying to make a movie for other Asian communities that are not so well known by taking their mythologies and forging a story around that myth. Like the did to Hercules , Moana....

I immediately noticed it as well. What I personally saw is that the evil in this movie represents the demonic forces that is on earth. Always lurking and hiding, and it immediately had to go away when light commands it to go away (pleading the blood of Jesus / saying His name over our lives.) The gems definitely represent the Lord and how He is always there no matter what. At the end, it goes to show that the Lord will always win no matter what. I love it :)

That was excellent! In a strange way it caused me to look at my own stone heart. No because of Disney, but because of Jesus. How strange to find hope in places you never expected to find it.

Idol worship is not a Christian movie. The movie is what our culture is becoming and the idol is the devil.
