Yes, let's waggle our tiny phalluses. But the Iranian response caused major casualties for 110 US military personnel and Trump folded his cards and declared victory nonetheless. It was a total loss that Trump pretended was a total victory. We should have sent 200 Tomahawks into Iran to take out military targets, missile launch facilities, naval harassment assets, and nuclear "research" facilities. Plus sink every motorboat Iran had in the Persian Gulf. We did absolute zilch. We did zero minus 1000 sacks of balls. So, so far less than zero. Weakness glorified. Nobody in their right mind wants full scale war with Iran. Nobody in their right mind believes that strategic strikes against Iran will lead to full scale war with Iran. Especially, immediately after Iran has bragged about launching dozens of missiles against US troops at a US base in US occupied Iraq, causing 110 US military personnel TBIs (casualties). Trump failed miserably. You can't brag about bagging Soleimani, and then ignore a massive Iranian missile strike against US soldiers, causing 110 casualties. It's total weakness / fear / loser / idiocy.

I was in Iraq when this went down. I had only gotten there two weeks before the drone strike. Our intel knew he was coming into Iraq to help command attacks against US personal so we were quite happy to hear about his demise. I was at a different base north of Baghdad that was on the list to get hit but the rumor is that we were too close to civilian areas that they didn’t want to risk civilian deaths and piss off the the Iraqis. Although we got plenty of in direct attacks just two months later that did kill a couple of Americans a British soldier. We were told we were gonna have a easy, uneventful deployment, the unit we replaced had maybe one motor attack their entire 9 month deployment. Then we get there and within weeks shit went down hill, from all I mentioned and to include a high probability of a full on assault on our base by a local militia group supported by Iran that we had to somehow repel with a few gun trucks and a aviation unit. (Mechanics, pilots, and other unit personnel.) we were told to hold them off until the 82 unit that was on base got there(a 30 min wait). All the other nations that were there left just leaving the US and some Spain guys. Luckily from what I understand some politics changed in the Iraq government and the commander of that militia group ( who was also a commander somewhere in the Iraq military) was told not to attack us. We kept getting attacked with in-direct fire until the day we close the base up. To include the night before I left. Ended up only spending 7 months in Iraq with the rest of my deployment being in Kuwait, which ended up being extended by only a month due to the unit replacing us was delayed by the Covid. Oh yeah, during all of this Covid was happening. Not a easy, relaxing deployment as we were told. Really weird and cool to see something I was involved in get covered by this channel. Thanks for the video! It sometimes feels like this event and everything afterwards just got buried by the Covid news.

A small detail i remember from the time was how they didn't use an explosive warhead, in the aim of reducing risk of collateral damage. The killing of servicemen wasnt in plan. Iran intentionally warned USA and Iraq personnel about this attack to avoid human losses. No kills wasnt a failure, it was a plan. And airliner was downed unintentionally, not as a revenge. At least Iran admit it, apologized for the downing of the plane, and paid compensation. @@alexanderkharin7036 Apology is worthless when you bulldoze the crash site immediately, try to invent all kinds of theories about the cause of the crash, only to confess after there is video evidence, parts of ad missiles in streets and US intelligence data. "Hey i tried to cover it up however i could, jailed those who protested the downing, harassed the families of the victims, do not sit and negotiate, did whatever i could to delay the investigation and still to this day say it's others fault, but at least i APOLOGIZED". Btw you can't just invent numbers, pay however much you want and assume it's fine now. when the US mistakenly downed Iranian plane they confessed much faster and paid a lot more after negotiations. 130m vs 25m and that was in 90s money which is worth a lot more today.

@@erfanian US tried to blame iranians with that iranian airbus much longer and with crazy theories like 'it was going to us with profile of attacking F-14'. And while US quickly confessed this wasn't F-14 but A-300 downed, they never admitted it as US responsibilty. Even wiki says "The U.S. government issued notes of regret for the loss of human lives, but never formally apologized or acknowledged wrongdoing". No one was sentenced, Cap. Rogers was AWARDED for this tour along with his crew, not sentenced to lifetime, like recently was with absolutely not involved Igor Girkin for malayzian plane. And payment of 130 mln wasnt in 1988. It was in agreement in 1996! After court hearings, when USA definitely would lose. This is only why USA paid, not because they're so generous or dont "invent numbers".
