My dear Father, I have a misgiving: If Christian churches (Orthodox, Catholics, Protestants) anathematize each other, then each one nullifies the Sacraments practiced, which questions the works of the Holy Spirit, an unforgivable sin. Isn't this ridiculous? Just imagine no one outside of the fold is truly married!

What is baptism??
@OrthodoxTalks2 жыл бұрын
Here is somewhat formal explanation: Baptism is the Sacrament of entering the Church by uniting the faith of the one who is about to be baptized and the grace of the Holy Spirit, which mysteriously descends during prayers said by a serving priest or bishop. During baptism, a person, as it were, dies to sinful life and is born to eternal life.

Did god reveal himself from the heaven to talk to Jesus??
@OrthodoxTalks2 жыл бұрын
Yes. The Gospel of Mark 1:9-11 At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. Just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”
