Hi, Tina, Congratulations on the new, beautiful addition to your family! ❤ I've been a volunteer for a cat rescue here in Los Angeles, and we've found no difference between cat and kitten food. It's really all about marketing. You may want to check the first few ingredients of your cats' foods as anything with "meal" listed in the ingredients tend to be of lower quality and not of good value. The brands you may wish to try are Nulo, Tiki Cat, and Merrick, if they're available in your area. Wishing you and all the kitties the very best! 💕💕

Olive is so precious!! I am so happy for you Tina!! As far as your Dear Pudding is concerned he is feeling left out. I think try to encourage him to be part of your bonding with Olive. pet her, pet him, feed her , feed or treat him, play with them together and encourage him to love her as you do. Spoil him as though he is new. For what ever reasons some cats seem to more easily except a new family member then others can Seems Pudding is one who is less of a pact animal and more happy to not share his home. I do think with lots of patience and love he can become the best older brother to Olive. Sending prayers for a smooth and happy bonding between them all.

She is just so sweet! I hope Pudding and Onyx learn to accept her soon. They just need to see how much fun a little kitten sister can be ;) Have you tried using a Feliway diffuser (calming cat pheromones)? I've had success introducing a new kitten when I had one of those plugged in. It eased the transition for all the cats and kept everybody fairly calm and relaxed (and eating as usual).

I am so so happy to see you have a new little friend, she looks a cheerful looking sweetheart and will help you heal. I'm still working in getting round to a point of finding a new friend after losing Inky. A new cat is never a replacement but always a whole new adventure and a solace and healer. Pudding is sad he won’t be the floofiest in the house. After my oldest cat died, I found Belle and it took at least 2 months for my other two to get settled and there were still scuffles for a few months after that. It was rough for everyone and there were a lot of tears shed but it was worth it in the end. Olive looks like a mix of Oreo and Pudding and Onyx…it looks like you have a connection…maybe Oreo sent her to you…it’s not easy but it will be worth it

It’s such a wonderful thing you’re doing for her. To train her young with harness, people and stroller, etc. I’m sure you thought of the carrier and the car! They rarely like it because they only go to the vet contrary to dogs who go for ride and pupcup! 😢

Don't worry Tina, it won't be long before Olive charms the pants off of Pudding! She's so outgoing, that always helps get the shy-boyz out of thier shell. I find it helps if you let the home crowd of cats go where she was recently (you can just walk around holding her). Then they can get their smells in her room too. Being able to provide 'pheremone protection' of her area. That will prob make miss kitten feel good, too that someone is there to scent protect her like her mom did a few weeks ago. Aww

Wow! Kitten Olive is a natural walkie artist! That's pretty rare; a lot of kittens jump around like little jumping beans at first, others really fight the harness by 'freezing'--like they're paralyzed. She's going to be zooming around town in no time! She's so adorable. Poor Pudding! Is he feeling displaced or despondent with the attention being deflected from him? Don't worry, he'll adjust despite himself. Just give him extra me-time with Mommy and plenty of Olive-free pets. He'll come around. At least he isn't on full-on attack mode. We had to separate our Nermal from Delilah for a few weeks before Nermal chilled out, so I think Pudding is doing quite well by the look of it.

Please don’t send her away . Pudding will eventually get used to her it may take weeks or months. It took my other cats a couple of months to fully except my rescue kitten. Please give it time please please please 🙏🏼
