You are quite literally the best teacher especially for concepts like these. I wish you could do more endgame specific content but I'm grateful for videos like this and the time you put into them. Thank you.

Im a chess instructor myself for my local schools. I also teach privately. I must say I LOVE your content, and it has helped me improve in my teachings but also as a chess player. The work you put into these mini-lectures does not go unappreciated.

This core concept, short side vs long side, immediately clarifies innumerable variations. Thanks, Andras!

Rg1 is a third move to stop immediate mate but it is pretty easy to see Rh8 Rg8 Rxg8 Kxg8 and Ke7 paves the way for the pawn.

I was aware of these ideas but I never had the advantage of having them so well explained. Thanks.

At the beginning of the video I thought you were gonna show the building bridge technique, where white would put the king in checkwith the rook on G1; driving it further away to the edge of the board and bringing its own rook to the 4th rank. In the end the rook supports the king from the nasty checks from the black rook with rook d4 or f4 so that the pawn promotes into a lovely queen. Thanks for the video and keep up your great work and vids. Cheers!

Shorts are terrible anyway. Long form videos are much preferred for actual learning.

Thank You for another wonderful video. Maybe we can get another one about endgame pawn breaks and pesky pawn blockades from the king in particular and converting a winning position against blockades in general in the future as well?

Better format for learning than shorts. Although if you do shorts hope they help grow your channel a lot.
