I took A for calc 3. phy1 and phy2 last semestre its all because of your videos. and now im taking applied diff.eq. As all the classes are online I just stay in front of the screen and do my other homework because I do not understand anything that my prof. explain. once he finishes the class, I go all over the topics by watching your videos. very simple and really understandable. the best tutor I've ever found.

so basically if a solution to the left side is say 3 and 3 appears as one of the constants Yp you solve for then that term needs to be multiplied by x? assuming it wasn't (x-3)^2=0 in which case you'd multiply that term in Yp by x^2

Small error in 16:35, the derivative of -sin =/= cos. It should be d/dx (-sin) == -cos.

Professor Organic Chemistry Tutor, thank you for an excellent video/lecture on The Method of Undetermined Coefficients in Calculus Three/ Introductory Differential Equations. The solutions to Nonhomogeneous 2nd Order Differential Equations are not difficult to solve but messy from start to finish. Once again, the great viewers have found and corrected the error/ errors in this video.

Thank you for clearly explaining and demonstrating all of the steps for finding the particular solution. My textbook devoted half a page to this topic and said, "Hence the general solution is..." No explanation of how they found y-sub-p.

This is a really good video. My problem is I have to do a lot of problems where G(x) = (xe^x)(sin2x) aka product rule multiple times over and I always get confused while finding the derivatives and plugging them back in.

If anyone wants a shortcut for the last problem, you can see from the derivatives for y_p2 that y_p2'' = -4y_p2', so I just plugged that back into y_p2'' - 9y_p2 = sin(2x) and got y_p2 = -1/13 sin(2x) without having to solve for d and e.
